Straightforward. What are you listening to right now? Could be music, it could be annoying people down the hall, etc.

Are you serious? Wow, I'm so sorry. Do you listen to the radio at all? They're on all the time. Have you ever heard the songs "Times Like These" or "DOA"?

Haven't turned on my Media Player yet, but I'll usually start out with some Aquabats because it's isially stuck in my head by the end of the day.
And Tropiuslover lives in Israel, and Foo Fighters isn't the hugest international band.

My favourite song right now is Otherside by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but I've been listening to a lot of Regina Spektor music recently. My top band is The Seatbelts though (the music to Cowboy Bebop and numerous other animes). Also I like the soundtrack to Wind Waker.

Heh, my brother loves RHCP. It's his favourite band. And a guy on the forums is completely in love with Regina Spektor XD
Neko Orgy - dMb Music
(It's actually just dMb but last.fm filters that to Dave Matthews Band so he changed it)

Hasheket Shenishar - Shiri Maymon
I'ts a song in Hebrew. It won the 4th place in the Eurovision.
"Layla veata, ahshav, nezach... Layla veahshav hasheket shenishar... Rega ehad.." And it goes something like this.

50 Cent is trash music. I don't like this "gangsta rap" fad that's gonna fade in another two years. The beats are just sampled orchestra and drums, the words are monotone and their rhymes are more often than not absolutely terrible. Not to mention the obsession with demeaning women, mindless violence and the glorification of drug lords. Now for me right now,
Pinch Me - Barenaked Ladies
(Now THERE'S a quality band)

Seconding Matt. As a musician and composer, soon to be studying music at university, gangster rap is utter shite,. It's pretty much the only genre of music I can't find anything to like in (rap, hip-hop, pop, some dance). I like rock, classical, jazz, country, electronica, folk, funk, punk, motown, ambient, bluegrass, blues, cajun/zydeco, game, madrigals, salsa, opera, musicals, music hall, soul, anything you care to mention, but never gangster rap. Bear in mind for that list I didn't break anything down into subcategories, either...
Current: Breakdown by Jack Johnson. Pretty ukelele riffing.

BonzaiRob, how do you feel about anti-Folk?
Speaking of anti-Folk, I'm listening to Consequence of Sound by Regina Spektor.

Antifolk? *looks it up* ... The ones I listened to sounded a bit downbeat, but not bad Is Regina Spektor anti-folk? I'm not sure what I'd classify her as tbh. I'm not a big fan of classifying stuff but sometimes it's necessary.. not sure about the whole genre thing.
