I don't like heavy metal I like old things that sound modern (ABBA is the best example for it) or just search pop or something like it, but never eastren!

That, my friend is not even close to heavy metal. It's a genre called progressive rock. More accurately "New Progressive." But here, try this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ukq-r1eR5c This is "Endlessly." I think the video's fanmade or something. Always Getting What You Want - Circa Survive

TL, maybe you'd like this Muse song better: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-c94VVU7zcI was listening to it today and thought that it might be more like Abba. Also, if you want heavy metal, listen to.. uh... Eternal Rest by Avenged Sevenfold.

The Muse song is good. Rurutia is good too, but I can't understand even one word of her song...

That Pavanne song isn't a pavanne XD Pavannes are fast tunes in 3/4 time that people danced to in the baroque era. They were usually teamed up with Galliardes. This has been your music lesson for today.

Oh god, both the songs you mentionned in that post make my ears bleed from overexposure.
OK Go - Letterbox
(I need more OK Go, their music is really good. I only have this because it's a TMBG cover)

At the Lemon Demon forums we have a song exchange thread for such a thing. It's great The Decemberists - The Tain (This song is over 18 minutes long. It's beautiful, like all of their stuff <3)

I've heard very good things about The Decemberists, but I've only heard a little bit of them.
Lazy Eye - Silversun Pickups
Silversun Pickups is a delicious group as well.

I've been listening to Jethro Tull a lot recently. His best songs are Mother Goose and My God.

Gale, we need to bog down and exchange music some time. Just by the titles of those songs, they sound marvelous.
