This is the place for all of the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Pokemon that have had changes done to their Types, Move Lists, Traits, etc.
It would be ideal to post ALL the information of the Old pokemon, even if it hasn't changed, but isn't necessary. If the Pokemon has a change to its Move List, please provide the entire List (with appropriate Levels).

Why not make the Hoppip Line Grass/Wind?
This is the one I am so strongly against... Gyrados becoming Water/Wind....

I think most people weren't in the mood to change Gyarados's Type. And with the Raimor line, Kingdra, Cascadran, and Belload, another Water/Wind or Water/Dragon shouldnt be needed.

Ugh, I really don't feel like finding all that and filling it out just to show that Meowth, Skitty, Doduo and Torchic learn new egg moves... Now, what Pokémon will have type changes? Light: Ampharos, of course. I still say Ho-Oh, but some people disagree... Volbeat and Illumise as well. Oh, and of course Magikarp. Crystal: Not much here. Perhaps the Beldum line, but they're okay as Steel/Psychic... And maybe Sableye, but its combo is fine as is, as well... Wind: Hoppip line. I still say Gyarados, but so many are against it, so I'll drop it. And I still think Rayquaza and Swablu/Altaria are fitting of the WInd type as well.

margicarp...part light type? A joke? Sunflora and bellosom are both part light now I think. we could have 1 special crystal onix but I'm not sure, maybe it will be a give away in event . We have events right? Like giving away pokes with special moves they don't usually learn? Actually, I thought Rayquaza was already decided as wind/dragon from way back.... and yeah, Swablu line seem to fit, too, cuz of the cloud like wings.

Wait why in the world would kIngdra be part Wind? It makes sense as a Dragon....
Swablu line I'm not getting as wind either?
I don't see any old pokes needing to be changed to Crystal none of them seem to fit that role....

Read, BB, read... --> "...Water/Wind or Water/Dragon is not needed"
Gyarados is Water/Flying, so....
And read Bunny's post..

It says "another Water/Wind or Water/Dragon shouldnt be needed." But how many types were cchanged from RBY to GSC? They didn't feel like changing everything and its dog... I can understand a few, but some others....

You brought up Water/Wind when reffering to a Type to did not want to change Gyarados into, Buffy Boy. Then there's also the water/Dragon Type, which many people have suggested, that I brought up at the end of the sentence. Basically, what I was saying is that there wouldn't be any need to change Gyarados into Water/Wind (because of Belload and Raimor) or Water/Dragon (because of Kingdra and Cascadran).
Spoon feeding anyone?
Pokemon with Type changes include Magnemite and Magneton

These are a stretch, but they could work...
Tentacool/Tentacruel: Water/Crystal Spoink/Grumpig: Psychic/Crystal Staryu/Starmie: Water/Crystal Chinchou/Lanturn: Water/Light Porygon/Porygon2: Crystal

Tentacool/Tentacruel: Water/Crystal (nope) Spoink/Grumpig: Psychic/Crystal (hmm... perhaps) Staryu/Starmie: Water/Crystal (I like the way it is) Chinchou/Lanturn: Water/Light (definitely not) Porygon/Porygon2: Crystal (don't look like it)

I'm ok with the Tentacool, Tentacruel, Satryu, Starmie and perhaps Poryon changes, but honestly I don't like the others. Chinchou and Lanturn are good like they are and Spoink and Grumpig just don't have anything Crystallish.

Actually, Spoink/Grumpig is, to me, the best one. The rest are just no-nos, but if you're looking for stuff that's Crystalish on them, just take a gander at that large pearl on the top of the head.

I personally don't like any of those changes... Spoink/Grumpig makes sense, but do we really need another Psychic/Crystal? We have Psymond and Reirei...

LanturnLooks at these Pokedex entries: Gold: The light it emits is so bright that it can illuminate the sea's surface from a depth of over three miles. Silver: It blinds prey with an intense burst of light, then swallows the immobilized prey in a single gulp. Crystal: This Pokemon uses the bright part of its body, which changed from a dorsal fin, to lure prey. Sapphire: Lanturn is known to emit light. If you peer down into the dark sea from a ship at night, you can sometimes see this Pokemon's light rising from the depths where it swims. It gives the sea an appearance of a starlit night. Ruby: Lanurn is nicknamed "the deep-sea star" for its illuminated antenna. This Pokemon produces light by causing a chemical reaction between bacteria and its bodily fluids inside the antenna. Each entries focuses mainly on light. It's kinda like the Ampharos of the sea. Granted, it makes an awesome Water/Electric combo. Tentacool I was just thinking of an old TV episode where Misty called the Tentacool the "Jewel of the Sea" or something like that. Poison kinda fits it better, but it could be part Crystal. Spoink Okay, so it's a pearl. That's still a precious stone... Starmie Most of it's body is made up of a crystal. However, like Lanturn, this Pokemon has movesets that work better as a Water/Psy. At least give it some Crystal-type moves... Porygon I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. Now that I look back at it, it doesn't seem very crystalish, especially Porygon2. Anyhow, I heard that there might be a 'Crystal Onix'. So, maybe a couple of these Pokemon can have a limited amount of different type counterparts as well. Or, for example, if you evolve a Chinchou, the Lanturn would be Water/Electric, but in the wild, Lanturns would be Water/Light. Just a couple ideas...

You brought up the reasons I'd be against flat-out changing Lanturn to Water/Light. It just does so well as a Water/Electric, plus it's our ONLY Water/Electric. That's a very neat idea, to have 2 different combos based on how you obtained it.

I like that idea, too. It's like the Caterpie and Metapod moveline (in r/b, not the later games). Caterpie gets you tackle and string shot but by catching a Metapod in the wild, it will know harden.

Yeah, it's a great idea.
I've got another, do with it what you like: Clamperl -> Water/Crystal

I like that idea, too. It's like the Caterpie and Metapod moveline (in r/b, not the later games). Caterpie gets you tackle and string shot but by catching a Metapod in the wild, it will know harden. It's not the same thing. Game-wise, Caterpie and Metapod are different species, and as such, they can have different natural learnsets. He's talking about the -same- species getting more than one definition. It could be done by allowing subspeciation within species. You define the species "Lanturn" normally as a species prototype, then define subspecies, which inherit all of Lanturn's characteristics, but can override some of them. You can also have sub-subspecies and such. That way you could have a pool of Lanturn with different types, moves or both, but that would all look identical (though you should change the color scheme to avoid confusion, unless you really like the surprise element), and that would share certain attributes. Methinks it would be cool to have a system like that. You could even define much larger groups, such as "fish", "cat", etc. that would all have their own specific set of moves and attributes. All the subspecies would inherit them, and that would make the whole pokemon world more coherent. For example, you could make all fish pokemon resistant to water in a finger snap, because all you would need to do would be to modify the "fish" prototype to which would be related all fish pokemon. Of course, if you are to script the data, the effect can be achieved by simple if statements, but personally I would never do it that way. It's conceptually lacking.

That idea is a bit over the line, IMO. I mean, adding a wole extra system is a huge leap from the old games. I think it would be a better idea to give out a Water/Light Lanturn and a Crystal Onix as promotional items, since Reirei can be caught normally.
