Can't really comment without pictures or more information. I couldn't agree more. Anyway welcome to PT! And try to behave. Also, if you are going to post your ideas you should at least give a brief description of what they look like or a sketch done in paint. The attacks sound good but you should still describe them more. The steel crab makes me think of hermit crabs. I <3 hermit crabs. I should make one sometime.

Herrmitus is a hermit crab with a huge bronze shell (like a horseshoe crab shell), big claws, and it's face is hidden in shadow. It has tentacles in it's mouth and glowing yellow eyes. It looks a bit like a cross between Kingler & Parasect.
Thanks for the advice, mls. I <3 hermit crabs too. (Not in a gross way) More later.

Hermit crabs won't live in horseshoe crab shells - they use mollusc shells that they can quickly shoot back into if there's danger. My dad's a marine biologist. Does it show? Anyway, we have tanks with hermit crabs in, they're funny to watch. We had one that would climb up a particular branch of coral, so it was bending right over in an n shape, and just hang on the end for a while. Then he'd suddenly let go in a cloud of sand.

It is a sort of spiral mollusk shell, it's just bent in a way that's like a horseshoe crab's. And not all pokemon are strictly realistic. How many turtles do you know with high-pressure water cannons in their shells like blastoise? But thanks for the advice, and more later.

Well, there's things that are impossible (such as turtles having water cannons and non-contact electricity attacks) and there are things that are REALLY impossible (like a vulnerable creature hiding inside what is basically a chitinous dinner plate).

It's not that bent, just similar. Anyways, i managed to make a Herrmitus mini-sprite! How do you post images though?

Ah... taking a look at the source of your post, I see you're new to uploading. First you need to find an image host (imageshack or someone), and upload it there (no doubt there are instructions on-site). Then you put [ img ]http://host-address/address/of/image[/ img ] without the spaces. It'll tell you how to do that, too. You can't just put [ img ]image-name[/ img ], because that's not uploaded anywhere. I hope that helps.

And then there are things Bonzai thinks are really impossible but are actually less impossible than the really impossible things, like a turtle having working water-cannons.

That first one should have worked, but it looks like you gave the wrong address. My guess is that you need something to identify it as your account, instead of the ViewDocument thing. But anyway. Ok, you see Cuddles' signature? The address to the image (that would usually go inside [ img ][/ img ]) is img118.imageshack.us/img118/8448/bigfight7bp.pngNow if you click that link, you'll just have the image on its own. The address ends in .png, because it's a png image (like yours ends with bmp). When you have an address that is JUST the picture on its own, you can use that address inside [ img ][/ img ]. Although, there is one other thing; most browsers don't display bmp images. You might need to convert it to something else. A lot of image hosts (like Image Shack) automatically convert them to .jpg. I think converting to imageshack would be a good idea, because they seem to be easy to use (personally I've always had my own webspace, but that's neither here nor there).

Imageshack is very good for hosting images. I don't use it anymore, but I remember it from when I didn't have my own webspae to put images online.

You were trying to display a page as an image. On img411.imageshack.us/my.php?image=herrmitus01du4.png , you need to right-click on the hermitis picture and click something that looks like "View Image", and click that, so that you just have the picture on its own.
