I always missed the train
a idea-can the train be like the boat? like inside and battle people?

I like how that you can see the train and walk under it, etc. It is kind of strage that it goes through some towns but doesn't stop on them. But that doesn't matter. About the map, is that the final version of it? It doesn't use the same style throughout it. :/

Well it goes underneath the one to the right of Lakeview (the name escapes me. Westbay?). And no, those aren't the final maps, not for Johto anyway; they have the extra bits on that Shadolf was keeping secret or something.

mls is spriting Montemore, so I dug out the trains, but there's a problem. Because we're having overworld trains, the train needs to 'fit' in the station. But, the trains are much longer than the station is wide. So: Either we make the overworld trains smaller (even though they look ok against the people) or we make the station bigger (and it's a fairly big building already). BTW, if we make the trains smaller, the big sprite will still be used for inside the station. What should we do?

Small from outside and big from inside. What Tropiuslover said. ^ Edit: If we aren't going to have Jhoto, are we going to alter the train's path?

Yeah, but we only need to worry about that from Zumitis. If we change it in a direction we didn't have train lines in before, we'll add the in-constructions lines long before the region is available.

Big on the inside sounds good. Just never actually show the trains leaving the station or something

Matt: Nyeh... if we're planning for trains at regular times, then we have to show them leaving the station at some point TL: Not exactly; remember riding the train on GSC? Kind of like that, except you see the actual routes you go through (well, it fades after the first route and back in on the last). You'll see underwater on crytal lake when you take the train from Palmtree (formerly Lakeview) to Zumitis.
