Here's my idea of an easy way to get maps done. I think that everyone should be able to do Johto maps. You can just use the old GSC Johto maps as a model for these new maps, but PLEASE DON'T RECOLOR the old ones. Post them here, and I will look them over. They all will be saved onto my computer, and I will then make it on the map editor.

That's nice but some things are different so it must be scratch in some way not?

Yes, some things are different. Like there won't be a Radio Tower anymore, and contests will be spaced across the land (although most will be found in the new cities up north, and I am going to do those), there are many new routes, route 40 will have diving areas rather than whirlpools, as well as many other things

can't you add whirlpool? And maybe headbutt? Maybe both would be good hms...Yeah and why no radio tower?

Well I never liked whirlpool, and it was pretty useless except for entrance into the Whirl Islands and a couple other select places in GSC. Dive is much better and it is more useful.
There weren't any headbutt trees in R/S, so what is the point?
The radio tower was not in R/S either, and it would take a lot of knowledge to put it in, and a lot of work. I'm not up to it, and I doubt DeathChill is either. And quite frankly, I don't like the radio tower that much. No use for it...

And in my game (that is stopped) i had Extreem speed in it because the sea routes where so fast that only extreeme speed could handel them i also had dig for an under ground world though

And many people have thought that Dig should be an HM. But I have always thought myself that to be an HM you HAD to use them to complete the game. And Dig never fit that criteria. Whirlpool didn't really either, except to get Lugia. And maybe that's why it didn't maintain HM status in R/S

Rock Smash WAS needed in R/S, like in Victory Road.

Not to mention North of Mauville... To tell you the truth, I like don't either Whirlpool or Rock Smash as HMs. Both are crappy attacks for Types with enough moves for their Pokemon to use.

it's a bit bad because rock smash and cut are practically the same. Anyway do you know any websites that has pictures of johto maps so I can copy off them. Do you mean like we need to re-do them on the map editor.

Well actually now that I think about it I should be able to do these myself, and quite easily I might add. I can get the maps easily, and do the maps inR/S style in about a week or two.

I've been trying to recreate the Johto Ice Path between Mahogany and Blackthorn. I haven't gotten very far. Just thought I'd post this before I forgot about it. ... And I hate the stupid Ice Path because it's so big and it's taking me forever to even do one.. single.. shot..

I did Goldenrod. Sorry about the radio tower.

I'd love the Radio to be put in again. It could have simple automated shows, then it could have Announcements by the Admins. Things like sightings and crap can be thrown on TV. ut, yes it would take too much work.
BTW, Mudkipn, your image is broken (for me at least)

The Layout it down, but Tiles will have to be altered. Goldenrod is completely cobblestoned, and there's not grass to speak of. The surrounding areas are dull. And it would have to be spruced up with all kinds of nick-nacks.
Also, What. An. Old. Thread.

Wow, these are really good! Keep in mind that we have our own lighthouse and such, and Tin, Sprout and Burned Towers. (Which, after looking at yours made me remember ours aren't really Pagoda (sp?) enough)

I think if you want to help you could put the building we have and insert them in your maps maybe just to see how they look cause we do have our own building that me, cuddles and karr have made so if you could do taht that would be great !

Yeah. And are we having a PCC? I made tiles and people for a PCC, in case we wanted one. They are based on Remy's tiles, so...

In GSC, a fat guy stands there and gives the player a Mysticwater.
Those maps will probably be not final. They do not contain the buildings we will use, for example REMY's Burned Tower... *drools* *stops drooling*

OK, people, now that the map editor is coming kinda soon, (cuz even a month is soon, so I'm not rushing anyone) who's gonna do Johto maps. I love Fangking's maps here, but I also love Team Nature Trainers. If anyone's seen his maps and likes the, post here, and maybe I could go get him when the map editor comes out.
