Oh whateva Anyways, another pic of Gonbe: This one definitely has to be related to Snorlax in some way. It looks so alike!

It is apparently Snorlax's pre-evolution...although Snorlax really doesn't need one so I don't understand why they created it o.o

Something I noticed, doesn't this one look a bit... hyper? Maybe it's sort of a joke: young=hyper, old=lazy.

Of all Pokemon, I don't see why Snorlax got a Pre-Evo. It's something I've dreaded, right behind him actually getting an evolution. To put it plainly, this means Snorlax is open to getting a pletora of new attacks thanks to breeding and giving him even MORE to pow around with.
The plus side is that this gives us our first glimpse and confirmation of a 4th Generation, and ends all this needless speculation.

Hmmm...from the side it looks sort of like Snubbull, but it looks a lot like Snorlax.

Looks like yet ANOTHER rip off of Ghibli Studios I see... those designer boys must be really running out of ideas. Not just pokemon, movie themes as well... Ugh this pre-evo looks just like the Totoro boys, the first movie was a rip off of Valley of the Wind (originally made in 1984), the second movie was a rip off of Castle in the Sky (originally made in 1986), the 7th was a direct rip off of Princess Mononoke, jeebus... (I'm sure there's more but I'm not in the mood to go looking at all the pkmn movies again). You sure can't claim that S. Tajiri thought up these critters on his own because he was about a generation later in this area... I'm not sure who's directing the movies, but they need to get smacked a couple of times

If you haven't told, I wouldn't have guessed that it is the pre-evo form of Snorlax...

Evidence shows that its very likely to be Snorlax's pre-evo its face, feet, stature and color scheme are the same look at this screenshot filb.greenchu.de/images/news/20040514_corocoro.jpgthe screenshot of the FR/LG pokedex is at number 142, RIGHT BEFORE 143 (SNORLAX) it also has an image of Gonbe scavenging for food, if that's not Snorlax-like to you I don't know what is

Oh yeah, I totaly forgot that this guy was being anounced this month! I'm all exited and dissapointed at the same time. It is the first of the 4th gen. and thats pretty cool, but a pre Snorlax(probably)? I guess its ok, and its not really bad, but I was hoping it would be something more exiting

How did I know that they'd unveil the new Pokémon while I was at Washington? But this confuses me a bit- In the 2nd generation, there were several relations to 1st generation Pokémon, in the form of babies and evolutions. In 3rd generation, we only had two new relations, both babies highly popular 2nd generation Pokémon. But now right off bat, we have a pre-evo of a Pokémon way back from first generation? I just hope that they're not trying to 'wrap up' Pokémon... I doubt it, but you never know... But anyway, when I first saw Gonbe at the top of Serebii.net, I thought it was a black Makuhita.
