Gem is too commonly used? It's the first Gem item I can remember.
Damn it. Why is Prism a move? Then it will be Prism Bell or somethng like that.
I came up with a good one for wind. Calm Breeze.
We can't have foreign words like that in the game. I personally don't care but some people are too stupid to know what it means. Why not an actual English word like "Solar?"

No it is also used for a move...
Calm Breeze is pretty good... What would the item look like?

I'm not stupid, I know what Quartz is. Alos Shadolf suggested Breeze Charm. I like Breeze Charrm. So here are the new PowerUps: Wind- Breeze Charm Light- Prism Bell Crystal-

Why not just quartz...

I imagined the Breeze to be like the Mystic Water sprite, only with something in that charm on the necklace depicting some sort of breeze.

OK, we can use Quartz, but with what? Quartz Stone, Quartzite, Hard Quartz, Mystic Quartz?

For Light... Radient Incense (something else)

But "Incense" is more related to breeding in the Pokemon games. It would be kind of confusing.
Of course they do have the Light and Smoke Balls, which depsite the name, AREN'T in fact a kind of Pokéballs

Items (especially the incences) are plot devices more than anything when it comes to evolution. When one Pokemon can't evolve one way or another because of continuity constraints, they just slip in an item.
King's Rock-Politoed, Slowking Metal Coat-Scizor, Steelix Dragon Scale-Kingdra Deepseascale-Gorebyss Deepseatooth-Huntail Sea Incense-Azurill Lax Incense-Wynaut
See? After GSC, I guess Metal Coat, King's Rock, and Dragon Scale just became outdated. *shrug*
And I agree with Shadolf. Calling an item Incense without the expectation of using it for breeding would be confusing and is generally dismissed.

Which ones are we going to use so I can try and sprite them.
Also can someone post the Mystic Water sprite?

*Looks up at his post from earlier*
Wow, I said that about Incenses?
Anyway, I've updated the first page to include Earth Incense as the way to get Dungeel and Herbal Incense as a way to get the still unnamed Tangela Evo. I also added the Karma Band. That leaves the Yanma Evo I believe.

We're using the incenses as evolution items? :/ I agree with what you said earlier... And I assume Karma Band is for Aipom's evo?

Yes... I just said that. Of course, you could be unfamiliar with the names, in which case I'd understand.
The reason I'm giving the Incenses double duty is to reduce all the vague and pointless evolution items to a minimum. Plus, it just works so well with Dunsparce. You can use Earth Incense to get it's Baby form (Dungent) or use it as a Trade/Evo Item to get its Evolved form (Dungeel).

Unless you want to spend another 6 months (LOL) working on an Evolution item, then you'll have to let it work.

That's why I was originally opposed to the evos of old Pokémon, all of the stupid continuity restraints. Is the Tangela evo a fighting type? Maybe change the name of the Karma Band to something a bit more vague, and use it to evolve both Tangela and Aipom.

Post by V Faction on Jun 21, 2004 20:36:19 GMT
That's the good part, Sneasel! The Tangela Evo was never given anything other than a Sprite.
And you don't think the name "Karma Band" is vague enough? If it was any more vague, people would be asking what the heck it was!

Post by sneasel on Jun 21, 2004 20:44:49 GMT
I thought it used to be called Tangelor, ut then everyone started calling it' the Tangela evo'. Didn't its creator just stop by the topic back at Serebii, give us the sprite and vanish? I still think the Karma Band would fit it, if it were fighting...
