I think the seasons would be good but would there be a way to change seasons besides waiting for them? I think having to wait for spring to get more water Pokemon and etc would be a little annoying.
I think having the seasons change the environment would be very cool but it would be a lot of work making 4 different tilesets for things like swamps, trees, etc.

It doesn't look legendary, and it looks too much like Albinos. The concept is okay, although I thought it should be more evil than space themed. :/ Now, that I've given the storyline a thought, I've decided it probably would be best to just have Albinos. More legendaries would just clutter up the plot. I would, however, like to make a game with light, dark, and light/dark legendaries. They would be completely different from Albinos. I probably won't ever make one because I can't code at all, though. I think the season pokemon should change with the season, like how castform changes with the weather. I also think it would be neat if other pokemon changed with the season. ex. leaves turn fall colors/drop off flowers bloom in summer some pokemon have different coats for summer and winter Also, in the different seasons, some pokemon would be more common than others. Like, in the spring water, grass, and bug types would be more common. And by the way, I'm going to try and make overworld tiles. ^-^ ^ What mls said ANd I want to help with overworlds!

Waiting for a season to happen is, I agree, a bit long-term. I was thinking more like the new Eeveelutions, we'd put some special shrine in four places in Taion that best represent seasons (Icefield City, Desert, Hillside Town and... maybe Peachblossom?) Then anyway, yeah, the first stage would change with the seasons.
MLS, I like the idea ofother pokémon changing with season. Maybe say Growlithe and Arcanine get less fluffy in summer, or whatever. Bug okémon could change for summer because it would be a breeding time, and Grass-types would look healthier in springtime. If you would like to go over the 111 list of pokémon and outline some changes (maybe make a new Seasons page on the wiki) we could get everyone involved.

Yeah, new eveelutions would be good. I also would be happy to go over the pokemon and outline some changes. ^-^ By the way, are we going to have gender differences? Because, there would be a lot of different sprites of each pokemon. Front and back, shiny, different sprites for season and gender differnces...

yeah I dont think we need any more legendaries I just wanted to draw something for fun! But it would be a good idea for a pokemon not a legendary. It would be alot like cresselia from dp very moon like

I didin't meant that we should HAVE new eeveelutions, just that the seasons pokémon would evolve like them Not sure about gender differences. It's possible to do, but I dunno if it's worth it. What do you think?

I do think we should have gender differences. Like, if we'll resprite DP pokemons to FRLG style and use them, like Combee, the female has a red dot, and that's suppoused to be Vespiquen head crystal and etc. etc. etc. If we will, I'd like to help with it.

If we're gonna use DP Pokemon at all, well, here's our plan. Downgrade 100-some DP Pokemon to FRLG level or Upgrade 100-some PT Pokemon to DP level What seems like the better idea? These or not using them? (If this seems at all out of the blue, I have a weird thought process, shut up )

Downgrade sounds good. Edit: Oops, seems like I was posting the same post twice.

I don't like a lot of the D/P pokemon. Especially the new evos. But, I wouldn't mind if we used D/P sprite size since we are revamping and all. That way my pokemon wouldn't be so squshed...

No DP style! If we'll make the sprite 80x80, we need a new Jepe and graphics and.... AHHH IT BOOGLES MY MIND! D:

Don't necessarily need a new Jepe, but it makes coding battle animations much harder. I mean, the sprite manipulation that DP uses is easy, but they use vector for battle effects (and if you watch Shadow Ball, the distance it travels changes in double battles depending who uses it, there's stuff like that). Either we don't use DP pokémon (or add a few but devamp them) or we have to upgrade PT's pokémon, which is a lot of work. What I think would be better is, get the engine out as is (3rd gen graphics) then upgrade it whenever we like afterwards. I mean, we're developing Jepe specifically to use plugins and to make it easy and flexible. Does that sound ok?
And back to the .. one of the topics, are we adding gender differences? That's not too much work in itself. After all, it's just editing sprites we've already got rather than making completely new ones, as with upgrading to DP.

Make them 3rd generation style, because if we don't, it will be complicated to do it. You know; New maps, new tiles, new artwork etc.

We could just up the battle sprites and keep the maps 3rd gen. The main issue is 16 extra pixels of space allowing for a bit more detail. It could really benefit some Pokemon. I guess a good feature in JEPE engine would be the option between 3rd and 4th gen battle sprite sizes.

Don't think so. 3rd gen looks better anyway.

I'd say that 80x80 battle sprites would probably be best. D/P maps would be sort of ugly though and the entire mapping engine would have to be retooled. Look at Kyledove's stuff, his tiles are many times better than GF's

Kyledove do overworlds, you must have been mistaken with Remy. But I don't want to revamp all the sprites to DP we did enough work on the current ones. Most of the current sprites were done before you got here, and many need revamping anyways. Also, Kyle does tiles and beautiful ones at that. They could probably blend with mls' tiles nicely too.

When I said "we" I meant all the members of PT. I'm a member, aren't I?

True. I usually feel weird using "we" as a collective unless I've been at a place for a good, long while (And I still feel weird using it at Platinum even being head forum admin)

It's a bit weird because it's a staffy sort of decision, and you're not staff :/ It makes some staffers (me included sort of) uncomfortable because it sounds like you have power of decision...
