Okay, I wanted to go to this forum, and i forgot the forum url. So I was going to go through the main site instead. I go to PTreasures.Net and THIS comes up: "Hacked By .. Me Message to Admin Your site .. is die تم الإختراق لعيون F6oOom" I DID NOT hack the site, that's just what is says, see for yourself. Try to change the site password or something, or... kill it. I don't want to see a hacked site. EDIT: Okay, only the main page is really messed up..

The forum's fine. The annoying thing is, the FTP passwords on the site were changed recently, so it must have been an exploit somewhere Oh wellz.

Alright, so what are you going to do? Just leave it there? You should try to get most of the important stuff back then delete the site, considering that your paying for it...

I've emailed FMY, but there's nothing else we can do until he get back from his vacation, or wherever he is.

I was on vacation indeed, and apparently servage temporarily suspendend my account because of this. I could check the site using their control panel though. The hacker was apparently using ourraccount to send phishing mails!
Something in xfiles caused the exploit. Don't ask me what, but I think it was there. So, I deleted that whole folder and made everything else read-only, and reactivated safe-mode. This should do untill we've got a new good site (hopefully by the end of september, but don't get your hopes up to high). Now it's up to servage to reactivate the account.

What kind of emails did they send?
(Happy B-Day by the way)

Thanks for the B-day whishes! They sent phishing email. That email pretended to come from a known firm (oftenly financial) trying to get your login information. In this case it was from scotiabank, so people who got fooled by the e-mails gave their login-information to the attackers. (Hopefully, nobody did).

No one ACTUALLY falls for that kind of stuff... Like someone's going to give their information to ScotiaBank@PTreasues.Net .

Yeah, well, it only takes one line of code to fake the adress an e-mail is coming from.

Actually, I heard that about 30% of people fall for spam. I guess non-tech-savvy people like grandparents are the ones who are at risk. It's that 30% who keep spam going out, though I guess it's more environmentally-friendly than physical spam mail.

Holy shit man. I hope I didn't leave anything important in xfiles X(
It was mostly images and stuff in there though. I don't get what it could have been.
