Well, stats, moves, types and such can be updated. Post a move, type or ability and post which pokemon could gain these. Also, stats can be updated according to new times.
To start- Light-> Chinchou/Lanturn- Water/Light Ho-oh-> Light/Flying Volbeat/Illumnise-> Bug/Light Ampharos->Electric/Light
I think there were others...
Oh yes the bothering ones *sigh* Lugia- Water/Fly Gyarados- Dragon/Water

Chinchou/Lanturn-I'd have to disagree. Too many people have been accustomed to it being Water/Electric. While it does make more sense to have it as Water/Light, because of its use it isn't as easily adjustable as Sunflora is.
Ho-oh-Same thing. It makes sense, but since it's seen as Fire/Flying so much, changing it would be disasterous. And, we've already got a a Light/Flying Phoenix from cuddles, so no worries in trying to fill that spot.
As for Volbeat/Illumise and Ampharous, I wholeheartedly agree.
Oridinarily, I'd agree to changing Gyarados. However, we already have 2 Dragon/Waters out right now (Kingdra and Leviathan(?)) and it may just tip the scale with Gyarados's great stats. And with the change, Gyarados would have 2 Special types, which pretty much screws his great Attack stat. Right now, the Flying type is the only thing giving him an edge, aside from the ability to learn Earthquake.
Lugia-No.

I think changing any legendaries' types is disasterous. They were meant to be the way they were, no excuses.

I think changing any legendaries' types is disasterous. They were meant to be the way they were, no excuses. I remember I suggested that Rayquaza be Dragon/Wind. This is pretty much the opposite of what you want, but there are a few reasons why it wouldn't be bad in his case. He's relatively new. Ho-oh been around for about 3 years, even more if you count the anime. Rayquaza, only about a year; even less for the English players. Because of that, he's less identifiable. We don't see and instantly give him recognition (or at least to the extent we do with Ho-oh). Looking at him you could tell he's a Dragon, but that's about it. With his Trait it makes sense. "Air" Lock seems very fitting for a Pokemon that control over the Wind. And he is (or was) the only Pokemon with that Trait, so trying to base it in the favor of Flying types using other Pokemon doesn't work too well. It would give some diversity to the Pokemon and broaden the Wind type. I mean really, with Rayquaza's old mix that's 4 Dragon/Flyings. Hardly original I'd say. I just think it would be neat to give him that Type.

Thing is, Rayquaza NEEDS the Flying type so that's he's 4x weak to Ice. Look what happens when you make super-legendaries with too few weaknesses...
Mewtwo, Lugia, and Kyogre terrorize the other Pokémon because they're so strong, have good types (not in Lugia's case, but its incredible defenses make up for it) and great move versatility.
Rayquaza needs to be Dragon/Flying, much as Salamence and Dragonite need to be Dragon/Flying, and Gyarados Water/Flying. Otherwise they'd be too cheap and run a monopoly like the three listed above.

There's only going to be 1 Rayquaza per whatever game style we decide to take, so it can't monopolize anything unless we put in about 50 or so. The regulations are even tighter for online play, where Legendaries are few and far between.
You can't really argue that Mewtwo and Kyorge are a threat to the system because of their Types. They're both pures, meaning their Advantages/Disadvantages are limited by the respective Type Chart. Mewtwo's Stats and Kyorge's Trait are the bigger issue for the threat they pose. But then... I suppose your point is that they have few weaknesses to 'exploit', which is what makes them so dangerous.
Then, we have nothing to worry about. Dragon/Wind means Rayquaza is 4x weak to Dragon attacks, still weak to Ice, and now weak to Wind to fill in the Rock weakness. We've merely changed the types, not the amount of weaknesses. As far as Offensive goes for each type, the list is pretty slim. Dragon's type has always had it pretty bad when it came to attacking, and Wind doesn't help much to give it new ground with 5 types resistant to it.

The regulations are even tighter for online play, where Legendaries are few and far between. um...if you mean what I think you mean, Shadolf told me that all players will be able to get all legendaries, except the bird, dog and regi trios of the previews games, probably groudon/kyogre and the laties too, which players can only get one in each trio, double (can't find another word for 2) depending on their ID number. Still, if that's true, we will have 20 or 21 legendaries if the egyption legendary is going to be made. Plenty much I would say I would suggest players get the legendaries of the previews games through some sort of contest or tournament, like an event. It could be a writing contest, which is set in the forums, and the winner can get one legendary pokemon price. This way, not everyone can get a whole bunch of legendaries in their box. Just a suggestion, there could be douzens of ideas out there that are better though.
