Anyone that would like me to do base stat totals for their created Pokémon, please ask me here. Here's how it works...
1. What are Base Stats?
- Base Stats is what determines a Pokémon's overall stat growth as it levels up. For example, base stats dictate that an Alakazam will be pathetic at Attack, but excellent at Special Attack. No matter what a Pokémon's personality, personal stat values, or effort values might be, Base Stats determine most of an overall Pokémon's stats.
2. So, how should I request these?
-Give a general description for each Pokémon you'd like me to give base stats on. For example, say that "Bug1 is a first evolution out of a 3 evolution line. I'd like low Attack, medium Defense, terrible speed, excellent Special Attack, good Special Defense, and decent HP for a first stage out of 3. Overall the stat totals would be low, as expected. Final evolution will have high stats, though."
Then again, if you don't care, I'll just randomize...
Just tell me which ones you'd like me to do, and optionally, which kind of stat totals you want.
3. Can you give me some examples of Stat Totals?
-Of course! Just if you want an example of how stat totals work, here's Regirock's stat totals:
HP: 80 (good)
Attack: 100 (great)
Defense: 200 (fantastic!)
Speed: 50 (bleh)
Special Attack: 50 (bleh)
Special Defense: 100 (great)
And here's Luvdisc's stats...
HP: 43 (bad)
Attack: 30 (awful)
Defense: 55 (bleh)
Speed: 97 (great)
Special Attack: 40 (bad)
Special Defense: 65 (average)
And Pikachu's:
HP: 35 (yuck)
Attack: 55 (bleh)
Defense: 30 (awful)
Speed: 90 (cool)
Special Attack: 50 (bleh)
Special Defense: 40 (paper thin)
With Clefable's:
HP: 95 (cool)
Attack: 70 (okay)
Defense: (okay) 73
Speed: 60 (bleh)
Special Attack: 85 (cool)
Special Defense: 90 (cool)
Get the hang of it? I sure hope so.
For any created Pokémon that need stats generated, give me a call. ;D
By the way, even if you're making a first-stage Pokémon, try to keep its stat totals around 250 or slightly above. Only special Pokémon designed to be weak (such as Magikarp and Wurmple) should have stats below that. And on another note, try to keep final forms of Pokémon with stat totals between 400-500. Any higher than 500 usually signifies a very special Pokémon (Arcanine, Tyranitar) or a Legendary.
