For the sprite, 1/10. For the concept, 4/10. Overall, 2/10.

could you guys rate my first fake pokemon I call it Frear(frost+bear) I will post more soon now Im off to runescape No offense intended, but I don't see a bear. A few bits of constructive criticism: 1) Your outlines are too straight. The edges aren't rounded enough. However, if you're after a boxy look, you need to accentuate it more, because it in an unhealthy medium at this point. The top and bottom are completely flat for a long section of the body. It looks unnatural. 2) Your shading could use a bit of work. The way the rear of it is shaded, it appears to have a large dent in its back. Also, I'd recommend more shades used overall. There's an awful lot of unshaded space on the body as well. On the positive, you seem to have a good handle of light source, which is a good start. Good job on that, just define it a little better. For example, on its back, if it's supposed to have a rounded, semi-spherical body, the curve in the shading should be going with the outline and overall shape of the body, not against it. 3) You need to do more work on the feet. Look at some other Pokemon as an example. Even the ones with the simplest of feet are well-drawn and shaped for the rest of the body.

Troiuslover and Rayquaza, you could learn something from his post. I have improved at spriting, since I found many tourtials that helped me with it. Also, some tips: 1. The light source of the shading comes from the top-left corner. Also, try to make outline shading, the darkest body-shade color may be the broghtest outline color. 2. Start your first sprite as a frankensprite, but add some parts of scratch, modify parts and recolor all the parts to colors that connect each other. (Don't forget the shading ) 3. Try posing it like it's looking to your way, also the body poisition the same. Side portraits aren't that good. I hope that helps.

My first attempt is here, too. Look at that. You shouldn't make excuses. Just do your best to improve.

My first ever sprite.. hmm.. I think I started off mixing and recolouring trainer sprites actualy, in (hahaha) 2000. I'm so old. Anyway, Culthulhu from PF sent me some concept art to sprite, not sure if I've still got it. They were a newt and an ant.

It's okay. I'm old, too. Probably one of the oldest people here to be honest.

Because I put Rayquaza 10 on my list. But if you want to return it to 4, I'll be very very very happy.
