Hey people! This is some of the stuff I made over the past two years and some of the things I made just recently. What do you think of it? And please, if you don't have any constructive criticisms, or don't even say what IS good about them, have name suggestions, questions, or the like, don't post. Thank you. And just to clear things up: 1.) I only have paint, arcsoft imaging suite, and GIMP 2.) I'm not good with the last two yet 3.) I can now make animations with GIMP 4.) Anyone can use anything that I have made here with just credit, EXCEPT for my fakemon, characters, maps, and tiles in which you need permission too. ::Trophies:: I made these from scratch! The Pokémon goes on top and text goes in the box. Trophy Template::The REAL WORLD Map:: I made this from a real world elevation map. No routes or cities. Free for use with credit and permission. I'd like to see what you do with it. REAL World Map::Overworlds:: Places- A town. Occasionally in game you can see your Pokémon in the fence by the lab. And, you are not aloud on the 2nd floor in the lab. Pokemon Lab Inside of Main Characters' Houses Random House Fakemon Overworlds Roselia Overworlds::Fakemon Sprites:: Jesse and James Delibird, Stantler, and Sleigh Rainbow Dragonite Rainbw Tyranitar Scyther Pre-Evo Winter SceneWinter PenguinLuneon - Oh, I almost forgot. It was based on this sprite I found. I don't know who made it so sorry if it bothers anyone... I think it was from Pokémon factory. ::Pokémon Art:: Caterpie Cleffa (Recolored) Pichu(2) Psyduck Shiny Jigglypuff Swablu Togepi ::Fakemon Art:: Cubone Pre-evo Darkrai Pre-evo Lapras Pre-evo Lapras Evo Lugia Pre-evo Luneon(different style) Misdreavus Pre-evo Murkrow Pre-evo Raikou Pre-evo Scyther Pre-evo Skitty Pre-evo Sneasel Pre-evo Sneasel Pre-evo(Shiny) Stantler Pre-evo Torkoal Pre-evo Weedy Seadragon (Basic) Weedy Seadragon (1st Evo) Weedy Seadragon (2nd Evo)::Chao:: ::Other:: Avatars- mls"]http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/1394/chibimeblinkanimationvd4.gif]mls Tropiuslover"]http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1900/tlranimationat8.gif]Tropiuslover Cuddles"]http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/2559/cuddlesrequestac5.gif]CuddlesBanners- Battle Backgrounds- Pokeballs- Edits and Revamps- Enjoy and please comment!

Your so awesome!!10!!Ten!! 10/10
Seriously awesome stuff! The maps are just gorgeous and pleasant for the eye! I'm glad you decided to help us out some with the maps! A few of your pokemon sprites need some improvement on the proportion or perspective. As for luneon, I like the light blue tailed one the best.
And wow, how do you go about doing those big pixel arts? They are so professional looking! I always find pixel arts a bother and usually give up before I even began!

Thanks! I guess its okay to say "Your so awesome!!10!!Ten!! 10/10" as long as you back it up. Proportion and perspective are a couple of my downfalls, I am not very good at drawing them quite right but its close enough for me. I will just practice some more. To answer your question, I make my pixel arts by drawing them first on paper or in paint. (And scanning them on the computer if I drew it on paper) Then I resize them to my liking, use to line tool so make the lines straight or curves right, and color them in. After that I shade in the shadows and highlights. It took a lot of practice to get where I am. (You don't want to see my first pixel art XD ) P.S. You are the first person to answer that question ever! Thank you. I also think I like the luneon with the light blue tail better. And how can I help make the maps for the game? Is there a thread where it says what it needs to look like or something?

I'd add you to a private forum and discuss it there, but I don't know how. Did I reply to some of your topics? How inspiring I must be. ANYWAY!
Since the project lead pretty much abandoned us, and was the only person who knew how the maps fitted together, we're kind of making it up as we go along for now. Also, the lead did some maps herself, but I think yours are better. So we may as well be starting from scratch. I think what we'll end up doing is having two copies of each map - the big image (like yours) and the coded version in XML, made from the image. If you're up for learning XML (it's one of the easier languages) that's great, but there's no pressure if you don't want to. Me and Matt and the other active staffers will be starting to replan the maps soon - if you've got MSN or AIM, it would be a great help for getting in touch with you (MSN is preferable).
And I made that post up as I went along, so I'm sorry if it's a little confusing.

I would like to learn XML too, as long as a 14-15 year old could understand it. Update: I made these battle background that were requested in the abandoned battle background forum. They are my firsts, but I think they are OK.

They most certainly are, like your other things. I would say "Your so awesome!!10!!Ten!! 10/10", if you'd let me.
It really looks like a lot has happened during the holidays.
Anyways, this isn't why I'm replying. I merely wanted to tell you how to use transparency in the GIMP, because that's quite important in the game. I hate stripping the background off, especially if partial transparancy is what I need.
Ok, here we go:
Creating a new transparent image 1) Open the Gimp (duh!) 2) Select File -> New 3) Click on the little arrow before "Advanced Options" 4) Select "Transparency" for "Fill With" 5) Clock "OK" 6) Now you've got a new image with a transparent background. Happy editing.
Adding transparency to a non-transpare t image 1) Open the Gimp 2) Select File -> Open 3) Open your image 4) Make sure the layer dialog / window is visible (you can show it using Dialog -> Layer) 5) Select the layer you want to make transparent (generally "Background") 6) Right Click on it 7) Select "Add Alphachannel" 8) You can now create transparent pixels on that layer by using the erase-tool. Happy editing.
If you've got any more questions concerning the GIMP, feel free to ask (except for animation, I never used that either)

I don't know really, Cubone always seem like a babyish pokémon to me. Losing its mother and stuff in RBY, you know?

Losing its mother. Man, man, man, you guys know a lot more about all this than I do. I'll just do the programming part, so you can use your brains for the pokémon stuff.

No comment for you from me because you told us not to say "Your so awesome!!10!!Ten!! 10/10" Anyway, I'm wondering what type these pokemon are? I mean it could be a dragon, grass or water type, but it could a mix of any of those.

Thanks for the compliments. ^_^
I think I will make the first fakemon water/grass type. Its evolution will be water/dragon. It's hard to decide. XD
