I've learned java and visual basic in school, but If you are using a different language I'm quick to learn. I'm not sure if I can hand code an engine, but once that's done I'd be happy to offer any services that I can. Unfortunately, coding is about all I can do... I just have a lot of spare time, and I need a project to work on.

That sounds awesome. Yes we are still working, and we are making the game in Python using the pygame library. Progress is going slow however, because I've got very little spare time, I'm working on the site and am learning about pygame, so... All programming help is more than welcome however.

Ok, I'll look up Python. Anything you need me to do just tell me.
Edit: I researched python and pygame. Python looks simlar to java in syntax, while pygame looks simliar to action script. Both should be fairly easy to pick up. Again, anything you need me to do, just ask.

Should we archive any PO related topics we might have in here and replace it with programming discussion? Or should we just use the scripting place for it?

The Scripting place's OK to me.
For the programming, nic, almost everything still need to be done, but for a start, you could start making the pokémon, trainer, item, party-pokémon, owned-pokémon, ... classes. We still need all of those to be done, and I really think this is a priority. Could we give nic permission to see all scripting forums? And to be able to post in these?
