Putting it here so I don't forget to tell FMY. Which is better?:
<pokemon name="Petital" id="387" type="Grass" height="0.4826" weight="9.45" species="Leaf Kitten" colour="green" ability="overgrow" gender="87.5" pokedex="Petitals are very loyal and friendly. This makes them a common pet among children. However, only through intense training will a Petital's full potential be discovered."/>
or perhaps:
<pokemon id="387"> <name>Petital</name> <type>Grass</type> <height>0.4826</height> <weight>9.45</weight> <species>Leaf Kitten</species> <colour>green</colour> <ability>Overgrow</ability> <gender>87.5</gender> <pokedex>Petitals are very loyal and friendly. This makes them a common pet among children. However, only through intense training will a Petital's full potential be discovered.</pokedex> </pokemon>
Notes: height and weight in metric because it's decimal and easier to code, we can convert it elsewhere (or maybe give the user a choice). Gender ratio is the chance of it being MALE. I figure this only needs one value.
The other thing is, are we still going to number them up from 387 or start at 0 instead? Will it depend how many other pokémon are available?

Since in later versions we're going to allow for trading, we should work with a national dex, so yes, up from 387.
We have three Pokedexes in this game I think, maybe 4 if Taion and Hopho get a different dex.

The second one is best. Don't worry too much about writing these files however, since I can generate them automatically using the pokédex. I just need to make the editor work again.

Ah, ok then, cool. Now I know what's best, I can probably start on other aspects too.
