I'm revamping GSC sprites. Here is the first Pok'mon, Horsea: The second Pok'mon, Victreebell: More coming soon!

Sorry for double posting, but Victreebell is up. P.S. I'm double posting because I was afraid that nobody will see it.

I saw them, but though the sprites aren't bad, they aren't really original. Horsea's just a little longer, and victreebell does have a slightly different pose, but the differences still aren't big. I like both your version and the original, but if you want me (and other people I guess) to like your sprites better, you'll need to change them some more, make them more original, more different.

Thanks. And just that you will know, the right sprite is the FRLG sprite and the left sprite is the revamped sprite.

Horsea especially, you can see why they changed it. The details are much easier to make out on the FRLG sprite.

You can if you like, but I don't think they'll be in the game :S Using Nintendo's sprites for this is technically illegal, I'm pretty sure the same would go for revamps. However, seeing as Nintendo will probably find out about us and start tightening the thumb-screws at some point, we should probably resprite any non-PT pokémon completely.
Someone from nintendo answered the questions of a fangame maker on their forums - Nintendo owns extensive intellectual property rights to EVERYTHING within the games, including sprites and people. We can just about get away with this because we're making it for research and will put disclaimers in lots of places. We need to make it very clear that we're not endorsed by Nintendo and the other involved companies in any way.

If you say it's illegal... Then I won't make anymore.

Well, it'd probably be a good idea for you to carry on just as spriting practice. It's only illegal if we use them in a game and claim it's made by nintendo.

No offence, but the Horsea's outline needs changing. But I like the Victreebell.
