Hi.... um... well. I guess I'm the representative for Kansai here, asked by Spriter to ask a question and stuff... (note: I didn't really want to be. XD)
^-^'
Anyway, Kansai Region is a fairly new region, but is pretty active. The legends represent Heaven, Earth, and Hell, and live in Cloud City, Desert Temple(not sure), and a Great Mausoleum in a graveyard. The evil team is Team Genotech, a team of scientists that use and steal a variety of technology, and pokemon to test on. They are after the legends to use them to take over the world among other things.
We are possibly having a League instead of an Elite Four, Pokemon Carnival, seasons, times of day, etc. However, for these things we will need experienced programmers.
So that is what brings me here. :/
Is there any programmers who would be willing to help Kansai? Or where could we possibly find programmers willing to help?
We'd be very grateful for help. ^-^
Thanks, -mls

Use Jepe It should be easy to learn, and you've got me and FMY to talk you through it.

I'm still a few maps behind, so there's no real rush, but it'd be nice to have a buffer. Have you seen the plans in your map thread?

Well, There is really no reason to start a new topic, so I'll ask here, seeiongs how it is my region anyway. Where can I get a good download for Jepe??? I've been Here, but the download only downloads a bunch of "PYO" files, which my computer cannot open...( I dunno if that's normal or not)...

PYO files? I've never heard of that. If everything goes right, you should be able to download the latest demo from jepe.ptreasures.net/demo.php (direct link to demo 2: jepe.ptreasures.net/demos/Jepe-Demo2.zip). Jepe's in a very early stage of development however, so don't expect to be able to do much with it yet. If you know how to program java, feel free to help developing it.

I'm stll having problems. I saved it, and unzipped it, but it wont work. I double click on the one that says "jepe.windows"...A pop up comes up saying "The Pupblisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software". I answer "Run" a and A black box flashes in the corner, and then nothing happens.

That's strange. Could you please do the following and tell me what appears on your screen:
1) click start 2) click "bureau-accessories->command prompt" 3) type the drive you installed (or extracted) the Jepe-Demo on something like "c:" 4) type "cd path\to\jepe\demo\folder" 5) type "jepe.windows.bat"
Tell me what's appearing on your screen. Maybe I can fix it.

'C:\Documents' is not reconized as internal or external command, operable program or batch file
Did you want me to type in "C:\Documents and Settings\__CENSORED TO PROTECT MY COMPUTER__\My Documents\Jepe-Demo2" or type in "My Documents" Also, inbetween the places where you said Type this, do i put spaces?

It's "cd C:\Documents and Settings\__CENSORED TO PROTECT MY COMPUTER__\My Documents\Jepe-Demo2" Then jepe.windows.bat
The cd means 'see directory'.

Like bonzai said, but make sure you're on the right drive before typing it. It won't work otherways.
If you happen to be on the d: drive while the demo is on the c: one, first type "c:".

Well, I got it too open, but It doesn't work right...It like flashes white while im playing.
Also, I though Jepe was a Game Maker Program??? Why is it only letting me play PT?

Of course it does, it's not a game maker program, but a pokemon game engine, which means you can make games with it, if you know xml. There might come something like a graphical editor in the furture, but not right now.
Look in the data folder, there's only one game there now: PT, but you can make your own by putting all it's data in anothr folder. You can then start your game by typing:
unix: java -classpath "%CLASSPATH%:jdom.jar:log4j.jar:." jepe.Jepe null "Your Game Folder"
windows: java -classpath "%CLASSPATH%;jdom.jar;log4j.jar;." jepe.Jepe null "Your Game Folder"
When in the jepe main folder.
Keep in mind that this is just a demo, not a fully working program yet. The flashing is also normal for a slower PC, it's because you're CPU isn't fast enough. That issue should be solved once we've enabled GPU acceleration.
