I probably keep repeating myself a lot, but I have an awful memory and a lot happens between visits.
Right now, me and FMY have the most advanced versions of PT; FMY's is probably move advanced in the map-parser (and not flickery like mine still is), but mine has a battle engine and the beginnings of an intro/cutscene parser. That's a little surprise for when I learn a bit more about arrays. What PT needs right now is maps, and lots of them. Mostly indoor maps, though. That's what I'd like to focus on for people interested in helping out.
The game is pretty fragmented right now, and it's bringing everything together that will give us a complete game. It's hard to predict, but after maps we'll probably need, well, more maps... dungeons and things like that I think. Then moves and pokémon in XML form, which shouldn't be too hard if they're on the wikidex. Then items.
If we get plots and such sorted, we might be moving steadily towards version 1 at this point. We can reduce the number of pokémon and moves as necessary, and add them as we can. We might even have some online capabilities by then too, in which case adding pokémon can become events of some sort.
So take heart, mine comrades. It's happening. Just a few troubles to sort out with the battle and we'll have another demo, ready to parade around websites of our choosing. If linking websites is allowed on serebii, it'd be nice to get some people that way. ALso, has anyone checked the JEPE thread on pkmncommunity recently?
BTW, internet possibly this week! See you soon!
