As I finish the maps, I will post them here. I am the only one doing the Taion and Hohpo maps, unless I am tight for time then i will ask some help from people I see as good mapmakers.

If you want I'll make maps for you. I'll upload one to show you what they are like. EDIT:- OK here is a map I made it was going to be my first town in a game I was going to make but then I realized it would be to hard. Just an example.

That's not what she meant. I think she means this: It was a map for my game.

No, I meant the town maps, like Dragon Lord did. But I will be taking care of them myself, since I am the one who has what they want to look like in mind. Don't mean to be rude and selfish, it's just that each town has an image in my head, and I have to do them myself.

I'm glad you're doing them Shadolf, don't feel bad about it! It means less work for us, and I can't even do good maps any way so it's all perfect to me.

Probably you can show us how it looks like, I mean if it looks like a gym is on the right, Pokemon Center is on the left, just make squares and label them and I probably can make some.

The problem is, that I need to make these maps in the map editor, and then take their files and combine them for the final parts of the game making. And they aren't image files either, some weird DMX files.
And V, that's basically why I am choosing to do them myself. You guys are doing real well on the sprites, and I cannot sprite as well as you guys, so I figured I should contribute somehow. This is my decision, now let's hope that I can get them done. I am actually awaiting DeathChill's new map editor version, and I still have to decide on tilesets. I am also using the cool new trees from the FR/LG Viridian Forest, as well as other FR/LG tiles.

Ah so you don't need the viridian forest trees anymore, do you? Otherwise I can rip them for you if you want...

But I understand why you want to do them yourself.

You don't have to put them in order. Try pressing Alt+Prnt Scrn in the map editor and Paste in Paint.

Tiles are easy. All I do is take 16x16 pixel pieces and paste them into a tileset. And with DeathChill's map editor it aligns them for you.

I've created a tileset that has all the water animations in FR/LG. It took me forever so if something's wrong, fix it and reupload it so that I can get the fix, though I don't know of any real errors graalubb.hypermart.net/Pallet.PNG

That reminds me DeathChill, how will that work? I mean, those animations, such as the water, flowers, and other things. How do you put them in the map editor and make them move? I was always puzzled about that...

I was always puzzled about that... The new map editor will allow you to create animated tiles by just telling which tiles to use in which order and at what speed.

A new standard for maps have just arisen: Inside maps should contain the word inside in their name (e.g. Inside_3.dmx, KantoInside_1.dmx, etc) as the game will use these to determine a few things.

Fangking is good (Some of his maps are here) Team Nature Trainer (At serebii, he may still have his topic) Master mew- www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=27145(The only problem is grass in Goldenrod)
