Ok, then I'm gonna try and make some. Does anybody know the maximum dimensions for minis? I presume you mean the pkmn icons you see in your Roster menu... 32x24 WxH I took a run through all the icons of the existing pokemon and they are all under 31x23, but I think the physical limit for the game is what I posted. ~DS

Yeah, those are what I'm talking about. Thanks for the demensions. I tried my hand at the two grey steel guys: If someone could animate them that would be cool. I think they are pretty cool. I lined one up on top of the other in two seperate paint windows and flipped back and forth between them and I like the animation. They do a little head/body bobbing thing

Wow...Storain's new back is fantastic! It is the best back I've ever seen for a created Pokémon.

Here are Brearl and that blue bettle thing: Brearl's mouth opens and closes and the end of his tail sortof wags. The bettle I think might be too small, but it was hard because its so dark. Also the best animation I could come up with is its mouth pincer things to open and close and it sortof stand up on its four back legs and curls his frond ones. Edit: Here is Brearls evo: Very tiny because of neck. He does that thing when you bob your head back and forth instead of up and down.

You mean the Brearl? If so, then I know what you mean. When I was doing it I couldnt get the eyes to look right and I think they are what's doing it

For its neck (Bronarl) just make it so its head is by its belly)

Good idea, I'll try that. Here is Raimor: His mouth opens and closes and his tail flipper flips.

A little tip, ET: For the minis, you don't have to get all the shading and every color of the normal sprite on it. Nor are they usually in the same exact pose as the normal sized front sprite. That's what's so great about them. They also don't have to be proportional, since they are so small. Also, the angle that they are viewed from makes their heads bigger than the back part of the sprite.
For example, the Bronarl. You could change his pose a bit, place him on his belly, and have its neck look a little like the Gyarados mini, all wavy.
Think of these like caricatures, a little bit. Caricatures accent/emphasize the noticeable features on a person, and makes them bigger. These minis are the same, making some parts bigger than others.

Here's a resource for you: It only goes up to Ursaring, but it gives you the general idea on how they are. And compare them to the front sprites. They aren't the same poses.

Awesome! I have been looking all around for one of those. I didn't remember where I got that one, so I couldn't go back and get the other half of it.

I already have all those sheets and everything. I was just being lazy and scaling down the front sprites but now I might actually try some custom ones. Edit: Here are the first couple I've done w/o a simple scale down of the front: Unown! ;D I think now my project will be to complete the mini Unown. Edit 2: two more:
