The role of Albinos, the Light legendary

This is Albinos.
Albinos is the new "strongest" type legendary, up there with Mewtwo and Rayquaza. It is a Light type, and apparently has a connection with the new Greek letter Unown. It's found in an ancient temple with sunlight streaming through the roof.

A mysterious organization called Team Apollo, a team based around Light, is searching for this great legend.

So, what role will Albinos have in the story?

I'm quoting a PM from Fossil Kabutops here, the maker of Albinos, on its possible role.

Well when I was creating Albinos, I was thinking that (since it's the Light legendairy) it made the stars and constellations in the sky (since stars give light ) So maybe team Apollo wants it to get some special starpieces (just like the ones you find in the game only then some very rare and valuable ones?) But yes it will be quite strong... You can make up any story you want, but this are my ideas wich we maybe could use... You may use these ideas, or come up with something totally different, I don't mind.

So, any suggestions for the role of Albinos?

I was thinking that is Albinos is stolen the world will be plunged into darkness... Or whoever owns Albinos controls the sun

Yes, controlling the sun is a good characteristic for Albinos and its owner to possess. That explains why Team Apollo (which we still need sprites for) wants to captrue it, because it will give them total control of the sun

Edit: But something goes wrong with Team Apollo's plan. The upset of Albinos will cause a solar eclipse to happen, darkening the earth.

all i know is that the jade rabbit is weaker than albinos. I don't like the idea of it controlling the sun, groudon does that. And since it's a light pokemon making the world total darkness won't do him any good.

No it misfires much like the Groudon thing... Only instead of a hot day the world is plunged into darkness.

However, I don't know why in the hell Groudon controls the sun, especially since it is a ground Pokemon. Really bad connection on Gamefreak's (or whoever made the story) part...

mewtwo, ho-oh, lugia, rayquaza, albinos = 680 total stats = highest

groudon, kyogre, slaking = 670 total stats = 2nd highest

dragonite, metagross, salamence, tyranitar, latias, latios, mew, celebii, deoxys, jirachi, jade rabbit = 600 total stats = 3rd highest

and plung the world into darkness would give him a weakness to itself (dark, light, super effective to each other)

groudon is kyogre's rival, so kyogre gets drizzle and groudon gets the sun. It's not hard to imagine, pokemon can learn rain dance and sunny day, and groudon lived in hot lava.

I don't think you are getting it... It plunges the world into darkness because it is upset... I'm not sure if its powers will be working that well with all of that rage...


But the world is way to sunny makes the sense that's not.

Well it could suck up the light into itself, start to glow, and then teleport itself to a new area in the island, and then something will happen where it will allow you to fight it.

That is better it sucks up all the light in the world into itself so that is more powerful.

Hm, but how would we portray that world-wide? Maybe Albinos will only affect the sunlight of a very small area, because having to change the color of the current tiles and sprites (with a filter, I bet) and to change weather conditions as well throughout one or more of the three lands would be quite a task, I imagine. How would it affect multiple players?

gah, you should know how different things affect other players, it's all scripting!

and about the weather of the lands, the whole map could just be night all the time (scripting again) and only the area/island of where albinos is receives natural light.

And I decided that to give everyone a fair chance, everyone will have their chance at Albinos. Events will happen for everybody, and won't affect anyone else playing the game at that time.

Just to clear up some stuff...

Kyogre-Titan of the Seas and Oceans.

Groudon-Titan of the Land and Continents.

Rayquaza-Titan of the Sky and Air.

Based on that, we've established that Albinos is the Titan of the Sun and perhaps the stars (Jirachi takes on a more dominant role when it comes to stars and Deoxys covers the whole space thing).

I don't have much Story-wise to contribute. At least none that hasn't been pretty much said. Team Apollo's interference with Albinos would be the cause of it's disturbance and what ultimately threatens the world. I don't know if actually having the catastrophe occuring isa good way to go. It's seems too much like the whole Kyogre and Groudon bit that's been done before. I'd like to see the focus being to prevent the total eclipse from happening (for the most part done by foiling Team Apollo's plans). Albinos should really be forbidden fruit to them, especially considering we have this whole 'process' by which we locate Albinos in it's lair, a 'process' that seems to suggest a very individualistic approach to capturing it. Letting Team Apollo get their grubby hands on it first (thus causing the upset) counter's the whole delicate 'method'.

Or, we could just go with the generic 'The Bad guys mad the Legend made, so go do this quest to find it and make it right by capturing it in a tiny ball' plan.

Oh oh oh oh oh, I just remembered. Groudon IS in fact the Land and Continents Pokemon, and the sun was used in R/S to dry up the water and increase land size, so it wasn't directly connected with the sun

I have an idea for Albinos. Albinos conrols the sun, the sun is like its mother. When something feels threatened, it wants to be close to its mom, right? So when Albinos is angered or controled or whatever, it has the power to draw the Earth to Sun. This could be one of the "Destruction of the Earth" thingies. Does that sound good?

We have already come up with an idea that was pretty much set in stone. We just haven't put any of it together with other stories yet.

Why don't you have some sort of teleportation divice inside the temple. That would lead to a temple in the sky. I have some good tiles that I will post soon in the tiles section.
