I saw Matt did a list of moves in the Wikidex. And I was wondering if we can use them with RSEFRLG animations and RSE contest information.

As far as animations, I have no idea. For contest stats, we'll work something out.

I'm of the opinion that we should make up our own contest (based more on RSE than DP) but Matt thinks just RSE. I'm still thinking about it really.

Maybe pokemons could sleep and freeze (next turn it is nervous), poison and burn (recudes appeal points every turn), and paralyze (20 percent of getting nervous).

I would like the contests to be more like in the anime. You know, battling. Then we could use Tropius ideas for the contests. When a pokemon faints, the battle ends. The loser will lose a little points but wont necessarily lose the contests. For the status effects it will say: Sleep - _ was put to sleep. -> _ is sleeping. It could not make its appeal. -> _ woke up! Freeze - _ was frozen solid. -> _ is still frozen. I could not make its appeal. -> _ Thawed out! Poison - _ was poisoned. -> _ appears awfully sick. It lost an appeal point. Burn - _ was burned. - > _ looks terrible. It lost an appeal point. Paralyze ( I think it should be 50 percent of getting nervous) - _ was paralyzed. -> _ is paralyzed. It could not make its appeal. Lost battle - _ won the battle! _ lost. It lost five appeal points. Also, I was hoping for bug catching contests and fishing competitions, too. Maybe even a safari pokemon catching competition? And minigames!

Good work on it, I'd like to have a bug catching in Taion, too. Oh and I really think the first part will be the original RSE part and the second part will be fights.

We've got Diglett and Snorlax minigames dunno if we've got any places a bug-catching contest would fit, but we'll have a Gobblub fishing contest on the crystal lake. If we give pokémon personality values, then we can use that to determine consistent length/weights (depending on what we gauge winners on). (I wasn't planing on putting personality values in, since they're pretty complicated, but meh. We can use them for mirage archipelago and maybe Deoxys and stuff.) Safari competitions you say? Maybe Tuesdays and Fridays, the first safari game you enter is a competition? Contests: How about we have three rounds: Round one is your pokémon's overall appeal; this is influenced by pokeblocks or poffin or whatever. No dressing up, although Ribbons should count towards this, and also general happiness (maybe that could work backwards for Dark-types). Round two is the Appeal round. This would be pretty much the RSE system of showing moves to a judge. Round three is the battle round; contestants are split tournament-style. Here, scoring heavy damage gains you appeal points, but you also gain the points from contest stats like you would in round two. There's also a 'time' limit (but actually we're limiting the turns of the battle; each turn can be 20 in-game seconds or so). For the third round, we coudl make up a whole new set of status problems for contests - nervousness (Glare), dirtiness (Mud Slap), gullibility (Fake Tears), boring (using the same moves a lot). How does that sound?

I would love that! It would make contests a lot better. By the way, do you have links to those minigames?

Someone coded the snorlax one into Java for us at some point, I could probably manage it now.. maybe. Anyway, the diglett one is the finished one.

Thanks Tropiuslover. ^-^ I have to say the game is incredibly easy, and if you play the game again it starts from where you left off... I have some more ideas! There could be pokemon races that could have rapidash, ponyta, dodrio, doduo, arcanine, or other pokemon that you could ride in it. Like in the anime. I would also like it if there were some sort of carnival that had a bunch of minigames in it and you could win prizes. There would be a few simple rides, like a small roller coaster, and a ferris wheel. There would be food stands where you could buy Fresh Water, Moo Moo Milk, Soda Pop, Berry Juice, berries, and new food items like carrots, apples, pizza, french fries, fried dough, etc. I also would love it if a new hunger feature was implemented in the game! The food items would be pretty cheap. But even if it wasn't in the game, the new food items could have different effects on the pokemon. Some of the minigames could be Whack-A-Diglett, Wheel-of-Fortune, Hit/Blast/Squirt-the-target game, Pop-The-Jigglypuff (lol), Psyduck Pond game, Ring-The-Chimecho, and Ekans Ring Toss, Weight Guess, or a Rapidash Horse-Race game. That would be so much fun!!

Yeah. that would be fun. But, it would have to be in 3D to make it look good.

Yeah. that would be fun. But, it would have to be in 3D to make it look good. Don't worry. As long as we have Cuddles and Bonzai everything is fine. That would be so much fun!! And I love Berry Juice! And another addition to food are my fresh berry tarts! But I really think we should have sea fruits (Calamari, shrimps, etc.) And we should have a game that we need to hit Jessie, James and Meowth with water balls!

OK.
But what's really crazy about it that this topic is about DP moves and we are talking about a carnival. XD

If you want a gold minigame, you can code it yourself Likewise the pokémon Snap stuff. I did those flash games as a demo of what the mini games might be like.. the Snorlax one, you have to keep clicking or else snorlax catches you. You have to avoid him for a time limit, there were also going to obstacles for you to avoid, and food to throw backwards to distract snorlax. Also, since I've coded them already, in theory they might be easy to add to the PT game. But yes, like Matt says, basics first. Right now you can't even battle.
