Make topics for those moves, so we can build up and finish them.

Um, yeah Gym Leader TM's needed for Cobalt (Earth Spire too strong), Monica and Penn/Luna. Post Move topics for them if you have ideas. Also, which of these needs to be omitted? -SOLUTION! Give one of the Leader a TM we already have, such as give Penn/Luna Bite/Crunch. New moves can be for the other two.

Crunch, because Bite is better as an Egg Move. Its not everyday you see a Lvl. 5 Pokemon using Crunch.

I say Crunch too, but we'll make it out of the first 5 people to vote, me and Kiwi having already voted.
Crunch- 2 Bite- Zéro

Bite. Why would people breed so often for moves if you can just buy every single TM that contains the most powerful attack of each type? Bite can be used on more pokemon anyways.

We'll make Crunch more available as an egg move. Alot of chain breeding.

Bite. Why would people breed so often for moves if you can just buy every single TM that contains the most powerful attack of each type? That's a really good point. Actually, I wish a lot of moves like Ice beam, Flamethrower, Psychic, Rain Dance, etc. were only available through breeding. Honestly, I have never used the breeding feature before, because it isn't very useful if you're just trying to play though the game. Has anyone ever played Dragon Warrior Monsters? It's kinda the same thing as pokemon, only breeding plays a key role in everything.

Dragon Claw is a good Egg Move. That's one of the only really powerful moves that isn't TMed.

Yeah, but even so, it can only be gotten by dragon pokemon and a couple others, even through breeding. I wish powerful elemental moves were available to all pokemon that could learn it as a TM, and you would have to go through extensive breeding to get a great moveset. It's not something that I'm suggesting for Treasures, though. It would take forever to firgure out, and it's just too different.

Bite is good. Now, can we think about everything that says "Leave blank for now" next to it?

what is Clairvoyance? Some kind of mean look move?
For Penn and Luna, Fake tears? Luna = cry baby?
Monica can have the endeavor tm which is already in the list.
Should flatter really be tm? It's the nidos' signature move...

No it's not. They learn it, but not only them.
Not Fake Tears. It's already an MT, part of a special tutor that teaches moves like that. We'll need something else.
Cobalt was supposed to get the new move Piledrive.
If we give her Endeavor...Wait, didn't you guys want to make her steel? Well, we'd need to think of another TM. Perhaps Soul Taker since I took it off of the MT list.

just give her steel wing then. And ok, flatter can be used.

Steel Wing...Er..I don't think that should be a TM. It's a good Eggable move, and it's not that great... Iron Jaw ? Now, what can we give Penn/Luna.

Now, what will those two leaders get, and does Monica officially have the steel theme?
On another note, what move (preferably new) will replace the stronger Rapid Spin on the TM list? Or perhaps should we just use rapid spin?

I've gone out on a limb and found a replacement- Solarbeam. The light one. It will be learnable by all those who had the original, except that they will all learn the grass version in their set if they had it.
This makes my work harder. Can't it stay grass? The STAB was good for Grass, the combat weaknesses was good for the three fires...Grr...

Post by Super Cuddles on May 25, 2005 9:56:39 GMT
can it NOT be grass at all?

|

Post by mattgcn on May 25, 2005 12:23:45 GMT
It conviences them too well already to take away. Not only the three fire types, who get a high powered move, but the fire types, who get a higpowered move that combats three of their weaknesses. It's not like the other moves we changed.

it's your personal decision to have 2 types on solarbeam. We need more opinions on this.
