Okay, here are three riddles of for you, and you can post some if you like. Can you figure them out? I will post more later. 1.Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is. 2. There is something that is nothing, but it has a name. It joins our walks; it joins our talks; it plays in every game. What is it? 3. What is greater than god, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat it you will eventually die? Have fun. Edit: Hints 1. There are 2 sentences put there to mislead you. It's a lot easier than you think. 2. It doesn't really walk, talk, or play. But it follows you by night and day. 3. Is there anything greater than god or more evil than the devil?

How about the Einstein Riddle? There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage. The question is: Who owns the fish? HINTS: The brit lives in the red house The Swede keeps dogs as pets The Dane drinks tea The green house is on the left of the white house The green homeowner drinks coffee The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill The man living in the center house drinks milk The Norwegian lives in the first house The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer The German smokes Prince The Norwegian lives next to the blue house The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water Good luck! It took me 45 minutes. Albert Einstein said only two percent of the world could solve this riddle. And here are two easier riddles just for fun: 4.What eight letter word contains only one letter? 5.There was a man walking on a sandy desert and every time he looked behind him, he didn't see any footprints; there were no strong winds on that day. Explain.

Well, that's not exactly one of the answers I was looking for, but I guess it works. There are many answers to this question.

Tropiuslover - Maybe, but I don't think "almost strong winds" would be strong enough to erase the footprints left only a second before. :/
BuffyBoy - All right! ^-^
Now, some new riddles and the unanswered ones:
4.What eight letter word contains only one letter?
5. There was a man walking on a sandy desert and every time he looked behind him, he didn't see any footprints; there were no strong winds on that day. Explain. (There are still more possible answers)
6. Mr. and Mrs. Albright go on a trip to Switzerland. While they are gone, a man sees in a newspaper: "Mr. Albright killed in a skiing accident." The man immediately calls the police and says "Arrest Mrs. Albright as soon as she gets off the plane - she killed her husband." How does he know this?
7. As a whole, I am safe and secure. Behead me, and I become a place of meeting. Behead me again, and I am the partner of ready. Restore me, and I become the domain of beast.
And the Einstein Riddle in my 2nd post.

He can't look when he's blind. Anyways, The einstein riddle (took me +- 35 min): The German living in the green house who's drinking coffee and smoking prince owns the fish. Here's the table Left 1 | Norwegian | Yellow | Water | Dunhill | Cats | 2 | Dane | Blue | Tea | Blend | Horses | 3 | Brit | Red | Milk | Pall Mall | Birds | 4 | German | Green | Coffee | Prince | Fish | 5 | Swede | White | Beer | Bluemaster | Dogs |

Tropiuslover - Both answers for 5 are correct. Number 6 is wrong, I don't see how it proves that the woman killed her husband. FMY - Both answers are right. Now, three new riddles and the unanswered ones with hints: Unanswered: 4.What eight letter word contains only one letter? (hint: An object) 6. Mr. (hint: There is possibly more than one solution, but in the answer I used the man was a travel agent) 7. As a whole, I am safe and secure. Behead me, and I become a place of meeting. Behead me again, and I am the partner of ready. Restore me, and I become the domain of beast. (hint: six letter word) New: 8. There was this black dog in the middle of a black road all the houses are black and the moon and stars weren't out. The power was out in this town and a guy whose headlights were out was driving down the road and almost hit the dog but he swerved just in time. How did the man see the dog? 9. Walk on the living, they don't even mumble, step on the dead, they mutter and grumble. What is the thing that is muttering and grumbling? 10. I dance and breathe and can even deceive. I am not alive, yet watch how I thrive. Do not come too near or I will eat you my dear. What am I? Have fun.

FMY - No, good try though. BuffyBoy - Correct Tropiuslover - I guess I will take that answer then. Also, 8 is wrong. To figure out number 8, look closely at the wording. It does not mention it being night time, and houses can be black.

That's right! These still need to be answered: 4.What eight letter word contains only one letter? (hint: An object) 6. Mr. (hint: more than one solution, but in the answer I used the man was a travel agent) 7. As a whole, I am safe and secure. Behead me, and I become a place of meeting. Behead me again, and I am the partner of ready. Restore me, and I become the domain of beast. (hint: six letter word) 10. I dance and breathe and can even deceive. I am not alive, yet watch how I thrive. Do not come too near or I will eat you my dear. What am I?

10: Fire? 6: My guess is that Albright had something to prevent him skiing in the first place (wheelchair-bound, broken legs, etc) and the travel agent saw that when they booked the holiday. Or perhaps they were going on holiday to a city, not to ski. 4: My guesses have been honeycomb (containing a bee), an eyesocket (containing an eye) or a teapot (containing a tea) but none of those are eight letters. I don't think I'm in the right area.
I have a feeling that 7 will reveal itself to me after I sleep. 1 could actually be 'gry', as it means something small. I got 2 and 3. I've done the Einsteinian one before but I think it was slightly different. 5 was easy.
Here are some for you:
Voiceless cries, wingless flutters, toothless bites, mouthless mutters. (It's not leaves. Tolkien readers stay quiet.) What has roots that nobody sees, what is taller than tallest trees, up, up and up it goes, and yet it never ever grows.
EDIT: almost forgot the best one: Why is a raven like a writing desk? Those who know the answer, stay quiet and let people who don't know have a go first.

I figured out the Albright. Mrs. Albright only got one roundway ticket.

BonzaiRob - Number 10 is correct. Number 6 is not the answer I was looking for but it works. All your answers for number 4 are wrong. And, number one could not be gry, and it is not something you use every day. Wind? A mountain? And I have no idea. BuffyBoy - That's the answer I was looking for. Now riddles: 4.What eight letter word contains only one letter? (hint: An object) 7. As a whole, I am safe and secure. Behead me, and I become a place of meeting. Behead me again, and I am the partner of ready. Restore me, and I become the domain of beast. (hint: six letter word) I've run out of good riddles for the moment.

7 is sponge! (Spongebob)

Sponge? XD I don't think anyone gets that riddle. Here's another hint, when it says "behead me" it means take off the first letter. "Restore me" means make it whole again.
And here's another version of 4: What word starts with "e", ends with "e", and contains only one letter?
