According to what I've heard, Pygame or Python (whatever) accepts OGG Vorbis files or something, which is why the XD files are in ogg format. ? Anyways, here's a guide on how to convert mp3, m4a, or wav to ogg. Windows UsersGo to this address to download the converting program (freeware) Note, you must have these requirements to use the program... Windows 95/NT4/98/2000/Me/XP/2003 Pentium 300 or above with at least 16MB RAM (32mb for 2000/XP) Once you have downloaded the executable, open it and just let it do whatever it does. Then open up the program, and add a file. Change the convert format to .ogg and choose your destination folder. Then hit convert, and you're done. The program will download any components for ogg vorbis for you. Macintosh users!Click here to download the converting program (freeware) Download the disk image, and then drag the program onto your desktop or applications folder, whichever you prefer. Start up the program. Read the instructions for Windows users. And for you crazy Linux people...CLICKThen Click If you want to listen to OGG Vorbis files but not actually convert WindowsMacintosh!Linux and UnixI know this is probably buried somewhere on the site already, but this is for the people who don't actually check there.

I really don't know anything about Linux. I just put it there because the links for Windows and Mac were useful, so I figured they'd be useful for Linux too ...Guess I was wrong. Mp32Ogg should be useful too, but it is really faulty on the Mac, so I posted this program because it ran on all three platforms. There are also a lot of converters for Windows, but I just find this program the most simple and easy-to-use. -Side note: I've made a couple of new themes recently and they are all in vorbis format.

I can't wait to hear your themes!

Your mac is the rotten apple in a basket filled with golden delicious! ...okay, I might be exaggerating a bit, but I like metaphorical expressions.

His OS is really old. We tried to find a solution together, but his Mac was to old for any of the apps we found.

What OS do you have? I know people that do all this complicated stuff with OS9.1 Maybe part of your system is corrupted. Any X system should work with programs that are designed for Mac .. they're all Carbon based cocoa apps, so it could (any app) in theory work, but not nescessarily swiftly. Problem is that with a Mac once you've deleted something or renamed something it doesn't go back to normal . EVER . You'd have to be pretty (stupid) to destroy a vital file on the os however, its buried under like /Mac/users/Me/Library/System_Tools/Apps/Files/Scripts/UNIX/Darwin/Preferences/Others/DONOTDELETETHISFILE.prf
Well, I guess if your OS won't do anything useful, I can't fix it. Maybe somebody from apple can...maybe. Save up to get a MacBook or a MacBook pro. They look really sleek and cool. 2.16 GHZ packed into 1 inch. Impressive. Plus, it can boot OS 10 and Windows XP!

I'm on X.2.8 , so :/ It wouldn't surprsise me to find it's corrupted (or even just full - when I defragged my dad's iBook, the diagram for used disk space was almost all black, and he shares this with me). I haven't deleted any inivisible files, but I may have changed permissions. But nothing restrictive, only adding permissions for me to edit subfolders and stuff. And my dad is getting a Macbook soon

Wait, doesn't iTunes allow OGGs? & Bonzai, how is the Macbook? I'm thinking about getting one to replace my iBook G4 from Dec. 2003

I don't think iTunes does support OGG. It didn't in the past anyway.

No, iTunes doesn't do .oggs unless you get the Xiph plugins. The MacBook is very shiny o far, my dad's main problem is that the cursor lags every so often while it whirrs. Instead of making that funny grinding noise computers usually make, it whirrs as the fans cool the processor. It gets hotter and noisier the more intense work you do. BUT, it is very powerul for all that.
