I made the Draconid line of Pokémon, which involves no less than 6 Pokémon. They were my first "original" sprites I've made. Now, looking back at them, I decided that some needed a little extra work. This thread is for the new appearance of these Pokémon. I thought that the original Thundraik I made was too obviously a Salamence, so I refurbished it. Behold, the new Thundraik! V Faction's fix: Original fix: Here's the old Thundraik: Whatcha think?

The face is MUCH better. Good work on that. The tail could have a little more form to it. It looks like a squiggle to me right now. And maybe use a darker color overall for the scheme or at least for the shading.

I don't know V Faction, I always liked the mellow-ness of the colors

It does look like it would be good for Electric, but the way it appears makes it seem like it'll roll off the screen. I'm glad that Ket put a darker outline on it at least so that we can see where it shows up. It might be nice to have the orange flicker of color be dark, so it doesn't blend in too much with the yellow. Maybe that's it. Seeing it's patterns more would give it the detail that I'm probably looking for. Ket, these are all just suggestions, so they don't have to be carried out.

I dunno... I like Thundraik's subtle yellow/oranges. However, that color doesn't go with the blackish outlines too well. What to do, what to do...

It wouldn't be much. Your older Thundraik has the color I'm talking about on its legs and tails. Just use that in certain places and it could work. What I'd want is for it to stand out. The subtleness is great, we just don't want it disappearing. EDIT: Here's Electabuzz's sprite compared with yours: See how dark it is (even though I'm trying to get the orange parts darker, not yellow). It's the common color among Electric types. No one has to follow that, but it's a good indication for the tone that won't contrast with a background. And it has the appropriate shading for the part that are blocking out the light shined upon it.

Here's some of the changes I was thinking of: Again, not much. Just a bit more shading and a tad more darkness and defined features.

Oh, I see what you mean! Thank you so much for the new shading and better tail! ;D I hope it's dark enough now.

I agree it is better with those subtle shading changes though. But you should get red of those black outlines make them a darker virsion of the main colours. EDIT:- here is sortof what I was thinking of

yay, it looks alot better now! Though, the colours of the outlines could be fixed, the darkness depends on the colour of the part that it outlines...if you know what I mean... it's just like what I suggested for the outline of your jade rabbit some time ago.

EDIT:- here is sortof what I was thinking of hmm, abit darker shadings on some area maybe, and show a little hint of outline on the spike/wing perhaps? btw, that's the wrong sprite you took, use the first one in the first post.

OK I'll do that but now I need to do some homework. I can do it in about an hour but someone else can do it if they want to, it's not hard.

V Faction already did a revamping of the sprite. Why must we have like twenty new versions of sprites? Please...

It wasn't really a proper sprite I just did it as a surgestion and to show poeple what it looked like without black lines 'cause I remember someone said they thought it might look better with out them. But I won't post anymore.

Nice Solomond. But I have something on Blizzagon. He has more proper shading in his previous sprite. He has lighter shading now, and it looks as if it's only one color. But good job.

Does this look better? By the way...I'm looking for some new names. Aurogon (Psychic) Druigon (Grass) and Blizzagon (Ice) have the same ending, -gon. Anyone have suggestions so that we only have one "gon"?

Anyone have suggestions so that we only have one "gon"? But that's not a problem is it? They all can evolve from the first little green dragon? Or am I wrong? Because eevee's evo's also have all "eon" at the end of their names..

You see, I want each dragon not to have a -gon ending in common for all their names. That's too boring! I want to make these dragons a little different than the Eeveelutions.
I like Solomond and Thundraik's names. I want to find original names for the rest. One can have a "-gon", but then I need two with new names.

The new blizzargon keeps the elegant shape which is good, however, the shadings tend to be in the opposite direction, remember light's comming from the top left corner. edit: dang, what's the point of quoting that?...hm...Oh yeah of course! I forgot! If you are really desparate to get names done QUICKLY, ask V-Faction for them!
