So then it's possible to have some events that will only work for and progress the player, like fighting the Teams or capturing Legendaries, while others will affect the entire community, like new quests and Tournaments?

Yup, quite easily I might add. ^_^;; It's only a matter of putting #CLIENT at the top or #SERVER at the top of your code. On my game the legendaries are server-side so that there's only one of each and once a player captures them than they're gone. You can also make quests that require more than one person to do it, which, if you have an active community, becomes quite fine.

i don't want to sound obsolete but, i've got an idea for the legendaries. you said: 5 "cats" (each with a temple), 1 "Albino" (in its own temple) and a "jade rabbit". so, why don't you do what was done in crystal and have it that you have to get all the cats and a cavern will open, releasing the "Albino" to run free, but still caging the "jade rabbit" deep inside?

Please don't bump old topics, you'll make the admins sad We've got the stories for the legendary pokémon worked out, the events are pretty imaginative. Comets and hurricanes and such.
