Well, a sticky to put ones that are done.
Starters: Starter Town. (Which city was it?) Bugs and Climponk/Squindel: Basic Routes/Commom thing Zubat:Caves Tentacool:Water (Those last two are autos, but i always thought we needed new annoying dwellers, like new bats, or the firefly couple in caves.
Just edit this post to add new ones i guess. (Or to correct spelling/grammar!)

I don't know if Squindel will be an early game catcher...

Despite pokemon's location, I think the time of the day should also determine which pokemon appears.

My pearl pokes are suppose to be cave dwellers... Not really common though... Like 20%.... The only place it will be more is Gem Cavern (the Gem Cave) where it will be like 30%

Are we gonna have Headbutt? A good idea for some of the old pokes. They would only be in Johto tho.

I never really liked the idea of day/night. Think of all the people that would abuse it, as well as daylight savings time... (okya, I fess up- I once messed with DST so I could catch a Sneasel at 5:00... So sue me.)

Post by Shadolf on Mar 28, 2004 22:26:40 GMT
I am assuming that somehow it is possible that Daylight Savings will only be controls by the administrator, or by an actual server-world-time thing. Anyways, Sneasel, we've all done that before

also will it run on Universal Time on Server, and your own personal time zone in client?

I thought you could set your own time once you start playing just like in any version of pokemon games.
|
|
|
Post by mattgcn on Mar 28, 2004 22:48:54 GMT
i think that would only be on clientside playing. If yourplaying with the rest of the world, then i think the time would be the same.

Most likely we'll have 1 set amount of time that people will follow online. We could also opt to go by Military time or do something similar to Phantasy Star Online and have Beat Times instead of actual clocks.

Well, Swanya could be found outside of a temple like-thing(Sort of like Natu and Sneasel) in the morning. Also, on the time thing, since I live in Hawaii, the time I go on would be really messed up.

Actually, Deathchill's got 5? hour days or something short like that, the idea being that every time you log on you log on to a different time of day.

you should use the east coast time zone,
|
|
|
Post by BuffyBoy on Apr 24, 2004 0:53:54 GMT
Why the east coast?
|
|
|
Post by Shadolf on Apr 24, 2004 0:57:34 GMT
I would assume with these five hour days, there would be no problems with time zone. And if time zone did matter, then I am sure they would make it adjustable.
Just because EST is on the east coast, with the whole metropolis from Boston to DC, doesn't mean much.

What about universal time..doesnt that benifit all? What i dont like about a set time zone, is that people that may play like, If theres someone in China, will almost always end up on at night and such..

Where will Lapras be located? I think Lapras should be in the semi-rare category and should get a special location as well. Like in the previous Pokemon games.
