Actually, Kyo wanted me to tell you that he's going on a trip to the Dominican Republic. He will be gone for months or even years, depending on what decision he makes. So unless he has access to a computer there, we're out of luck.

Yes, that is living down there. Am I the only one that read the "About Me" page on his site that stated that he often lived in the U.S. for a few years, then the Dominican Republic, then the U.S., and so on and so forth?

Great! Not sure about the rainbow colours though, since it's used mostly by fierce looking pokemon. Maybe a mix of green=>blue=>purpley blue colours?

From a coding point of view, that's perfect. We might make the opponent vibrate and turn different colours or something, but all we need from you are the attacks themselves Though to be honest, we still haven't worked out how we're coding attacks. It'd be nice to keep them flexible, but some have strange effects that I'm not sure the XML can cope with.

For the programming, I'm pretty sure XML can cope with all, or at least most of it.
I thought about doing like:

Actually I think most attack backgrounds fade in anyway. Uh.. <enemymovement delay="300"> <move x="+1" /> <move x="+5" /> <move y="-3" /> <move x="-6" y="+3" /> </enemymovement> is that parseable? I can see us having to redo the parser every time we get a move with an odd effect, like.. Return, or something.
EDIT: I tel you what will be the make it or break it attack: Transform. I kind of know how it works (resize down, cache that image then resize it up, repeat then reverse) but I don't know how to implement it.

Well, off course, the adder should be adepted every time a new move with a strange effect is added. For the XML, it's certainly parsable. We'll make the XML formt something like this then:

Sorry for being off for a very long time. I was busy with my request thread...>.< But I think now I'll spare my time to start animating the moves in the moves roster. This is for Earth Spire, looks like the background and Pokes should shake when this animation appears. Glitter. I dunno where should this animation appear, in the user or the foe..whichever it appear at, maybe the Poke should glow yellow/white. Exorcism...looks like the transparency ruined it. Maybe it needs background, but I didn't include it since the background shoul appear behind. That's all I can do now, I'll continue again later..

The animations are very good, although the transparency did ruin it. I was thinking exorcism could use your "holy background" that you used in one of your previous animations. But, it might look a little too busy. :/

Great stuff! For the ransparency one, since we'll end up splitting the frames apart anyway, you could save it as a PNG. They can do different strengths of transparency, unlike GIFs where something's either transparent or not. Just make sure all the frames are the same size, and don't worry too much about it being perfect now. We're a long way from coding battles properly.

In case you were wondering, the current status of teh battle part of teh game is: Single wild battle, no sprites, no movement; fonts are the wrong colours, and the two pokemon attack each other at the same time. This is what happens when I code something.

Hey, are you still making animations? I thought of a move, I bet someone's thought of it b4. Well, it's light ball. It's the exact same thing as shadow ball, only it's a ball made of light and it's light type. Could you do that?
