Um... as I don't know the password, I can't go and hear the cries although I'd love to, but I have an idea of what the Leta family's cries should be like. Leta: High-pitched squeal. Letal: Kind of metallic, a rather long g' or somewhere near that. Letalig on: Similar to Letal's, but quite a bit deeper. OMG! That's exactly what I did, and I did their cries before you suggested this! What a strange Coincidence XD!

Yes Remy, this happens to me as well, it will say "This page cannot be dispalyed." You have to refresh the page...and to listen to the cries, you must right-click them and click "copy," then open "my documents," well your documents folder, and open the sub-folder called "your music", and then at the top control panel click, "Paste," then it'll be downloaded in your comp, but there are many many files.... actually, click on the link I posted, on the 1st page of this thread...and PM Shadolf to ask the password.

Well, I hope this works and I hope you like them. They're a bit different from your's, sorry. Here's the scoop: My cries have my name, and then a letter. I hope this doesn't cause a problem, but I did not have any Pokemon in mind when I made these cries... I was just splicing them Anyway, I am willing to take requests on how do do any specific pokemon. Thanks.

Hmm... no offense, but... cjrClubby, your cries are waaaay too musical. You can very easily tell that they're just instruments... I was thinking more like something between Metagross and Gardevoir for Letaligon, something near Skarmory and Kirlia for Letal and between Sentret and Spinarak for Leta... Fwiffo would probably be able to do them pretty well with the cry splices.

Firstly...cries by Nintendo carry special coding that make them usually unproggamable into other games...you think Nintendo can just let that slip and make it so people can program their own...that not gonna work. 1. I DONT OWN ANY INSTRUMENTS EXCEPT A BASS CLARINET, which I don't use for cries! These are all based off a sound editor I got for Christmas...and its not sound recorder....It is a professional program. I can do spliced cries, and Ive done what you say for Leta and co...it sounds horrible! It sounds just ridiculous and just horrid! It would make the cries pure Crap (pardon language) Its true....my cries are fine. 2. Whadya expect Mr. Do-Everything-Perfect! Nintendo has instruments that'll never be released to public! I said that earlier! I do the best I can, and everybody else seem s to think my cries are awesome...specially Shadolf and Mattgcn!

You overreacted way too much. Dragonfree was giving some constructive and general criticism. And I do agree with her, some of them are a little "instrumental." The bird line is also a little too polyphonic and realistic. They don't have to be too realistic; I mean look at Pidgey's cry. Also, a synthesizer does make the sounds of other musical instruments, and it's in the form of a piano...and I think that's what she means, not you playing an actual instrument and recording them on the computer.

To Fwiffo:
Well if you have at least the first 251, can you take Togepi and Togetic's cries, and make them a little bit different for Togecus and Togetant? For example, make Togetic's cry a little deeper and longer for Togetant. No idea what to do for Togecus...
Is it possible for you to deepen or raise pitches?

Have you noticed that the R/S pokemon cries are pretty different from the first 251 though? We could always step it up a notch and make it more polyphonic

Exactly...I purposely made them sound "INSTRUMENTAL," cause its a new way of making cries...and interesting...and they are good...but the advice was more like an order than consturctive advise Shadolf...he was aying that they weren't good if you summarize the hole post up..he was saying that they weren;t good!
Shadolf, I have that deepne cries, and high-pitch cries, I already stated that...I have already done Togecus and Togetant!

What I meant Rice was one of them (Humisher, I think) sounded like more than one bird.

I said that earlier! I do the best I can, and everybody else seem s to think my cries are awesome...specially Shadolf and Mattgcn! Jeesh... I didn't say they were recorded; as Shadolf said, I was saying that they SOUNDED LIKE INSTRUMENTS PLAYING, NOT CREATURES MAKING SOUNDS. Ever been to vgmusic.com? Well, it has MIDIs for computer game music. You can clearly hear the various different instruments. Do you think they're recorded? Nope, they're made with a program exactly like yours, imitating instruments, which is fine on its own. However, Leta does not play a xylophone. It makes a high-pitched cry of "Leeee!", which your cry basically doesn't sound like at all. Your cries all sound performed by instruments and not by living creatures, and the whole point of the cries is sounding like the Pokémon are making those noises. As for making a new style in cries, I'd be very careful with that. Either you'd have to remake all the cries into the new style, or you'd have to cope with the made-up Pokémon's cries sounding completely out of the blue compared to the others. I don't know what your alternate cries sound like, as you never bothered showing me, but Fwiffo's spliced cries sound pretty natural as far as they go. You said yourself that you liked them, even; why would these sound so horrible? At least let me hear them. Perhaps you were just splicing them wrong. And I'm a girl, and I didn't say they "weren't good", I said they sounded to musical to be Pokémon cries.

Okay, I here's what I put up: Togepi's and Togetic's (for reference) 2 tries for Togetant 2 tries for Togecus I just mixed Togepi's and Togetic's around. I hope this is what you had in mind, Shadolf. but the advice was more like an order than consturctive advise Shadolf...he was aying that they weren't good if you summarize the hole post up..he was saying that they weren;t good! I'm pretty sure Dragonfree is a she...

Really? Great. I can try them again, too, if you want. Are there any others I should work on? It's a bit easier if I have a certain Pokemon to work on or cries to work with.

Well there are the evos, which should be quite easy. You just have to find them. They're similar looking to their evos, of course. I'll go grab one for you. Post it in a sec. Here:
