I think we're officially done here « Thread Started on May 13, 2009, 4:35am »
I don't think much else is going to happen here guys, and I think now would be a good time to officially call it quits. It may seem like a waste, but we can do something with all the art and such but the question is WHAT?
If we can all officially decide the project is dead I'm going to try and assemble all the bigger content providers (Cuddles, FK, V Faction, Dragonfree, Sneasel, Rob and FMY are all immediately contactable, I'm sure I could get in contact with Remy and others if I tried really hard) and try to reach a decision on what to do with all the Pokemon, trainers, sprites, bits of string, music and whatnot so it doesn't have to go to waste...

I'd rather not source it out for free use. The best options would be to donate to existing fangames, I think. Few options present themselves though. The only one I can think of is Pokemon Acanthite if it's still going

I'm afraid you're right. We'll never find time to finish this.
All source code I made available is licensed under LGPL, so feel free to use it as long as you respect the license. As for my art, feel free to use it for whatever you like, but give me credit please. I'd like you to put my name on it (FMY from pokémon treasures, or my real name: Thomas Weyn).
To bad we've never finished this. Who knows, maybe we will, ever. Once we're pensionated or something.

I think the best bet to make something of what we've got is find a willing and dedicated team to work with it. Perhaps with a lot of programmers who don't have a million things to do already
Before this, my signature had not been edited since late 2005. It is now late 2007. Isn't that wild?

Hi guys, long time no see.
I guess the best option would indeed be donating our sprites/art/code to a team that already has experience in making a fan-made pokémon game. OR a team that is really enthusiastic and doesn't have much resources yet.
It's a real shame that we didn't get to a full game ourselves, I think we underestimated the coding mostly, and were too focused on storylines and graphics.
I would also appreciate it if I would get credit for my work, when some other team would use it.

I guess we just got outpaced, by life and by the real games. I guess we might finish it one day (I'll certainly hold on to the files), but we're dead for now. RIP. I'll donate some of my music here and there and just keep it for portfolio stuff; likewise sprites other than my trainer avatar, and pokemon ideas. Credit me for what's taken, linky http://carnivorous-cow.co.uk/, that'll do fine.
Thanks for all the effort everyone put in; next time we'll do it right.

If anything's spread around, it will for sure have credit attached to it. It would help if I knew who made which Pokemon. I can tell which are Cuddles, FK or V usually but not much else.

Well, all the rest is just "originally created for Pokémon Treasures by an unknown artist" or something. That way they still know where it came from.
I'll most certainly hold to the files too. I still really want to finish JEPE, and by that, all the code stuff gor PT. As Bonzaď said however, we've got outpaced.

I'm late to the party, as always. Is there still some big listing or picture of all the Pokemon created for this project? I vaguely remember most of mine... The grass starters (Petital, Purroot, Craguar), then Mirreflect and Psymond, Lavash and Flamarlin, Gatorock and Toxator (which Cuddles sprited), Pikkok and Heroncholy... Um...
Shame it's all gone up in smoke though. We had a good run. Hope everyone's life is fantastic.

Oh hey so basically Pokemon Cyare has a thread about a couple of our Pokemon they'd like to "adopt". I was thinking about all of them going as a set, but if some of our best can find a home it would be equally great.

It's really sad that this is going down. It inspired me to be a spriter. Well, my game could certainly use some of the concepts. We're a fakemon game, Pokemon Torzach.

Hello.
I didn't know where exactly to put did, so I put it in here ^^
I am sorry for not doing this over PMs, but I was uncertain who exactly I should contact about this, since you have various staff members and contributors.
I am here on behalf of Calis Projects. As you may or may not be aware we are a game making community (mainly Pokemon) with a few demos, a name like "Pokemon: Protectors" and several years of experience in game making behind us. Calis Projects has recently grown, and now we have 5 developers and 6 games being developed, some of them are public, some are still unannounced. We are slowly, but steadily starting to outgrow ourselves in the standard we are setting. We are all great visionaries, excellent coders, and lousy artists, unfortunately.
We are looking to expand on or staff with two more artists, and I was told that some of the best are here. So if anyone would like to join us, please go to our forum, http://www.my-lifeonline.com/CPForums/index.php and register, or contact me here via PM, or simply post here. We would also consider on hiring people for other positions too, but you need to contact Neo Dragon with a very convincing application.
Also, we would like to ask for any and all Pokemon Treasure sprites, music, art, etc that you are willing to share with us.
Thank you, DarkPegasus
